Carol could feel the new chief of security's anger about the entire situation that had surprised everyone in the room. Catching people, especially security folks, off guard was never good. Carol was still puzzled, trying to catch up with what had happened behind the scenes.
Who the **** does she know? And how the hell…. **** it doesn’t matter. She’s back…and that’s a good thing. We can’t lose now. We’re all back, ready to go…
Carol continued to listen through the awkwardness that was going on. She didn’t like the feeling of everything that had happened. It may have been just her, but she it felt extremely tense. Her neck and shoulders tensed up as people seemingly let things go so they could get the details of their next mission. Jotting a few things down while nodding, she felt this would be a pretty mundane mission.
Sadly, the surprises kept coming, this time surprising everyone with the arrest of their first officer.
Okay, seriously, what the **** is going on?
Carol looked around the room, her eyes settling on the Captain…and the other Captain.
Well ****. Now what? Are you going to let this crap happen?
No one said anything, that is, except the officer who had come to supposedly arrest Coleman.
What the ****?! This has got to be a joke. It can’t be… can it? What the hell is going on now? Crawford isn’t going to let this **** happen, is she? Say something damn it.
Carol’s eyes roamed the room, hoping to find some sort of hint that all of this was one big test.
Give me an F, hell, I don’t care. But this **** isn’t funny. You’re going to arrest someone just as we’re preparing for a mission? That gives no ******* time to get a replacement. Someone wants us to fail.
“****,” Carol mumbled.
