== Sorry for the long delay I've lost a bit of interest, but I'll get into it again soon I'm sure. ==
== I'm assuming that the rock is out of flux and had solidified over NPC Kevin's hand==
Dr Jolly bounced into action, first with a medical tricorder. The readings told the jolly Doctor that Kevin's heart rate was high.
Probably from his state of panic, completely understandable.
The pressure the rock was most likely exerting was causing bones and circulatory system danger. Capillaries had begun to bust and bleed into Kevin's hand and his index finger's phalanges and his little finger's metacarpal were broken. but the worst was yet to come. The rock had fused with the skin and flesh of his hand to a depth of 3 millimeters. This would make extraction tricky. Oh - and his wrist was sprained as he became more frantic at trying to pull his hand out of the rock.
In an attempt to distract Kevin, Dr Jolly asked "Well Keven me old son, you're in perfect health except for that rock fused into your hand. We'll have to get that off, somehow, soon, son. What made you grab a'hold of it in the first place?
Meanwhile as the conversation with Kevin got underway, Dr Jolly was working on a solution. His first thought was the most practical and simplest way. Amputation! His second thought was that the first thought was probably not the way to go. His third thought of drilling the bulk of the rock away from his hand. That was not practical either. He finally found a solution, chemical extraction via the transporter. All he needed to do was scan the rocky hand, or was it a handy rock, for the rock's chemical structure, which Jon proceeded to do with the medical tricorder as the conversation continued.
