For a moment Lina wasn't sure that the combined reassurances from both her and Miles would convince Sofia enough to help them before she took a little time to contemplate and gave them an answer. Relatable considering the circumstances until the fieriness within took over, and Sofia told the pair exactly what they needed to hear, and that she would be coming with them. Lina wouldn't argue with her, because Sofia knew her brother more than they did, and it would also help them cut down the search area.
However, Nicolette Valentine soon stopped that by grabbing Sofia's arm and started casting blame on Nico for what had happened to her brother. Although it allowed Lina and Miles to continue, it became apparent that Nicolette was only concerned with stopping Sofia from leaving.
Seizing the opportunity, Lina led the way out of the room, talking quietly to Miles so they couldn't be overheard.
" The sooner we can find him the better, especially with how Nicolette Valentine reacted, and with the police on the way".
Calling the police was a natural response to such a situation, but it could very well hinder things if they didn't find out the truth or at least got a head start on the investigation.
