Dr Langston finally got back to Dr Lim still on the bio bed but wanting to get back to doctoring. Boy! Did her head hurt!
"Dr Lim, good to see you conscious," Langston said as he approached the bio bed. Not one to mince words, Dr Langston immediately described the treatment regime he had organised for his concussion patient, Lim. "I have programmed this cortical simulator with a mild regenerative program for you concussion Dr Lim" and he placed the stimulator on her forehead.
She immediately took it off, "I don't need that, I'm fine!"
"NO! You're not fine," Langston retorted and place the stimulator back on and held it there preventing Dr Lim removing it again. "You received good whack on the back of your head and you need to follow the treatment the doctor has ordered. Understood?"
"OK! Give me the rundown of my condition and describe this treatment. I want to know everything?" Lois replied with her trade mark surly expression and attituded.
As Dr Langston described her condition in medical scientific terms that only a physician would understand completely, Lois slowly began to relax and understand why she needed the stimulator on her forehead for a period of time. It had been known since the early 21st century that mild stimulation of the brain was more beneficial in cases of concussion, rather than complete rest in a dark room.
So, Lois agreed to comply.
