Maddie had called the next cadet in line and then looked briefly to an incoming message as she waited on the approaching cadet.
"Hi Captain Allen," the cadet began. Maddie smiled warmly as they continued. "Cadet Hallowette Maxas-Darl reporting as requested Captain."
"Hello Cadet Maxas-Darl," Maddie began. "It's a great day to complete your training, don't you think? Let me find your assignment..."
Maddie scanned through the various holodecks that were hosting Academy final exams and found Hallowette's. There it is, ah...number one.
"Cadet, you are assigned holodeck one." She took a pause to let the cadet take it in and then continued. "I'm sure you'll do great and I'll be seeing your name for graduation soon... Good luck."
Maddie let Hallowette head towards her exam and then grabbed a quick sip of her chai. Then she called the next cadet.
"Next!"
