Miles thanked Omdor for the information and transference of a good portion of auxiliary power reserves to boost the signal. He reran his checks, awaiting to see what the results were. It didn't take long, as was normal, but he did keep an eye with the additional boost on any affects that may occur. Once he had his information, he relayed it to the Command staff.
"With the boost, sensors will only penetrate approximately half the distance the probes will," he began. "Approximately double our torpedo range, to put in Tactical terms. Not the greatest, but we'll be able to have better visual just in case...better than what we started with."
Miles returned his attention to the scans in case there were any alerts, updates, or changes. Aside from that, he also ensured to split his observations between his console and the viewscreen. Sometimes, just sometimes, the eye would be able to pick something out before any sensor could in these kinds of situations.
