Miles nodded in regards to the police. They would obviously work alongside them once they arrived, but it would be easy for those who didn't have any information outside of a probably biased and lopsided "witness" as Nicolette Valentine to come to a matching "decision" without truly investigating.
As such, Miles and Lina made their way out of the manor towards the hedge maze in the back. There wasn't many people meandering out back, but there were couples huddled together for security and trying to calm themselves down from the turmoil. There were also some who "needed some air" just so they didn't have to see the wounds. One or two were leaned over railings, emptying the contents of their stomach at the sight.
Miles markedly ignored all of them, his focus on finding Nico. Once they reached the maze, he extended his right hand, making sure he kept it in touch with the hedges. It was an old trick he had picked up from somewhere during his childhood. The best way to find one's way out of a maze. Use the hand to guide through. It would eventually get those traversing the maze to their goal.
They made their way through, and had covered a good bit of ground when they heard the moans. Miles looked to Lina, before cautiously approaching the source.
