As the team finished materializing on the transporter platform, Cindy looked very satisfied as she made a quick head count and reported to Kurasa, "Commander, I show all accounted for."
Thorn realized she had been holding her breath and took in a deep breath as she pulled off her helmet. She was very happy to be back, yet furious that they had nearly died. Her anger was not at anyone specific, though at least part of it was at herself. They had not stopped the thing and may not know any more than they did before. She felt the ship go to warp, which snapped her back to her responsibilities.
Before Thorn left, she quickly moved to the side of Carley Young and said, "Listen, you and I are possibly the only two that might still be able to add anything further to this. We were both using our drones to scan whatever that was. I know that mine was recording right up until it either got blown to bits or we were out of range. I want to be able to share whatever data we got and see if together we're able to present anything worth putting in our final reports. How quickly can you compile your data? I'm even good with the raw data, if that will be faster. I'm just hoping that between the two of us, we might have something."
As almost an afterthought, Thorn added, "Oh, by the way, I would love to talk more about how you've been using the drones and get your feedback. I'm putting together my own feedback report to submit soon. It's nice to know I'm not the only one working with them."
Cindy smiled from the side, watching Thorn for a moment before she said to everyone, "Good job, everyone. Please don't forget to make your log entries and to submit your After Action Reports to your respective Department Heads and Commander Kurasa."
Cindy could tell that most of the people still had pretty high pulse rates, but it was quite understandable. Cindy looked quite calm though and as she was standing near Thorn, looked over to Young and simply inquired, "You okay?" Cindy's tone had an element of genuine concern, but also the calm of an experienced veteran. She had taken off her helmet and held it at her side. There was a crack in the face shield of it, indicating she had actually taken a pretty hard fall at some point in all of the chaos, yet was completely unconcerned about it.
== Tag Kurasa and Young...as well as the rest of the team, if they wish. ==
== GM input: is there anything to be reported from the last moments of the device and the final detonation? ==
