"Artemis has arrived at Drop Off One and is in position as ordered Captain."
Tyra, who had been watching her console, nodded at this before realizing that couldn't be seen by the forward facing pilot. "Thank you, Midshipman."
There were a few moments between their arrival and Miller's next update. And a little more wait before Miller provided the outcome of the initial drop.
There were instances where 3% was significant but this hardly seemed like one of them. A 3% reduction of range than expected was minimal in the grand scheme of things and certainly not a large enough variant to not continue forward.
"Acknowledged. As soon as we arrive at the next drop point, launch the next buoy as you see fit," Tyra answered before Tyra's attention moved to helm. "Midshipman, please move us to the next set of coordinates."
She felt the subtle hum of the deck plates as the ship began to ease the short distance to the next drop point. She was certain Miller was watching their progress as well and would soon have an update on the next deployment.
"Science, continue to monitor the probes after they are dropped and we continue to increase distance. We need to know how long we actually keep communication with each one as we move away."
