Jaein was pleased with how the ship was holding up so far, with ample spare power available and no troubles so far. Of course, that wasn't likely to last.
Grant gently corrected the helmswoman over her minor error and then recommended that they proceed to drop off three. Crawford, however, had other ideas. "I have to disagree, Lieutenant," she said. "It's been a while since we've run a cargo inspection but I think this is a good opportunity to dust some cob webs off."
He couldn't help but agree with her. The ship was out of place, and maybe it was just his age talking but between the Occupation, the Maquis, and the Dominion War, he couldn't think of a legitimate reason for a ship to be here in this nebula. Much less a Klingon ship, so far from the Empire. Crawford finished her orders: "Plot a course to intercept, best safe speed. We want to catch them unaware before they can run but have the tractor beam ready. As soon as we're within intercept range, open a channel for me, Lieutenant Grant."
He hoped she was right, and would be rewarded with a quiet cargo inspection. However, he didn't expect that to happen. He instead checked on shields and weapons, figuring they would be needed before long.
==GM Input: yet more checks! If they're fine, don't worry about anything, just let me know about problems.==
