Mara’s face didn’t flicker as Tyra added a medic to the boarding team. It went without saying that the COS didn’t think it was necessary but it also wasn’t worth arguing the call.
I’ll save what little credit I have left until it really matters.
The Security Chief turned her attention back to the ship they were now in pursuit of. It wasn’t the biggest ship but it did look big enough that she was leaning towards adding a second Security team to the boarding party. Dark eyes looked around until the Bandaran saw an empty station and she moved to take it.
OK. What can I figure out on this thing…
Reviewing and refining sensor data was definitely not Calleja’s strong suit, but she was gamely giving it a go. She wanted to see what information she could pull on the qoH to give her officers the best possible data. Deck plans would be ideal - she started to cross-reference any available information held on file - but details of the cargo would be a massive help with the planning.
I’ve been caught before on what looks clear but turned out to be really hostile. Can we figure out a safe space to beam into?
Mara looked around. Most of the Bridge crew was fully engaged but she saw Harriman at the next station.
“Hey Carol. Little help please?” Calleja asked. She didn’t see anything wrong with asking for help from someone better suited to the job she was trying to do. “I’m gonna have to take some teams over to that bucket. Can you give me a hand with a sensor sweep? Could use your expertise with anything you can get me. Deck plans. Crew complement and location. Definitely cargo.”
She looked over at the older woman and made room at the console.
