Trenton Valentine had something to say, and while he wasn't exactly accusing Lina and Miles of being involved somehow, his warning was obvious. So even if she had tried to assure him they were only there to help, Lina doubted he would have listened or believed the couple. It still bristled somewhat, however, rather than attempt to reason, Lina let him go, watching as he returned to his sister.
The sigh that emanated from Miles, spoke of Lina's thoughts on the matter, before her beloved led them away from the Valentines, and spoke in low hushed tones.
" Agreed" she replied, thinking that the last thing they wanted was to arouse suspicion or be treated like potential suspects. " Whatever happens, I doubt we'll be able to speak to the Valentines again, so in the meantime, how about we go over what we know?".
However, with the arrival of the emergency services and the police, Lina wondered if they would be able to continue their conversation, considering that they would probably be asked for their version of events. A small delay shouldn't hurt too much if they had any chance of learning the truth.
