A01 - AUDITORIUM
#1
Starfleet Academy's auditorium is a huge, bright, modern-looking space capable of seating over 500 people. The entire South wall is made up of windows allowing the sunshine in and an awe-inspiring view of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. On the other walls hang large painted portraits of Starfleet legends--the noble people who set an example for cadets and officers alike--including the likes of Jonathan Archer, Christopher Pike, and Kathryn Janeway. There are currently a few dozen beings of various races occupying the auditorium: some are talking in small groups and others just enjoying the view between classes. Most are wearing uniforms designating them as cadets at Starfleet Academy. A few are wearing the purple tunic that denotes them as Academy personnel.

Just below the stage is the admissions area; a long desk sits there with multiple computer terminals as well as two or more officers. At the center position is usually found Captain Maddie Allen, the Academy Superintendent . Newly arrived Cadets report to her for training holodeck assignments, where they will undertake the final portion of their four year academy training. The Dean of Evaluations, Commander Carrs Jasal, can be counted on for assistance as needed.

There is a queue of cadets at the admissions area, awaiting their turn to accept the assignment for their final examination here at Starfleet Academy.

== Welcome to Federation Space RPG and Starfleet Academy! We're so glad you've decided to join us.

Please make your first post below! The post should contain two things...

First, write an in-character portion describing your character's arrival in the auditorium. They have just completed four years at Star Fleet Academy and are waiting the assignment for their final examination. They should report in to the Admissions desk to the officer on duty for their assignment.

Secondly, you must read the Cadet Code of Conduct and the Federation Space Constitution. Include in your post an out of character statement that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these documents.
For example:
Cadet Davis entered the auditorium and tugged at the stiff collar of his uniform. Seeing the admissions desk and the short line of Cadets, he approached and waited to catch the eye of the officer on duty.

"Cadet Davis reporting for assignment sir!" He cringed at the volume of his own voice, hoping no one noticed the error.

Striding with hard-earned confidence into the auditorium, Ris'maeriffa walked with purpose, but no haste, towards the admissions desk. He took note of his classmates around him, also wearing their appropriate uniforms. Though he'd attended classes for four Terran standard years here, it still amazed, surprised, and thrilled him to be part of such a diverse collection of sophonts. He gave his tunic a tug that was still referred to as "the Picard Maneuver" these years later; while some had used it in a mocking manner, he had always used it with the greatest of respect for what the Admiral had done during his time in uniform.

He shook his head to break off the "woolgathering", as he'd heard the term from his Terran classmates. His collar-length silvery-white hair swayed a little from the motion, though the dark teal dyed portion between his antennae shifted minimally. He reached up to brush his fingertips through his hair, his nailed painted with a similar color polish as the splash of color in his hair.

His antennae moved of their own accord, much like any Andorian's, their powder blue tint much more subdued and inline with expected norms. At the same time, his jade green irises alternately contracted and dilated as he took note of any threats, however unlikely, and fond acquaintances from his years here. Minor worry lines announced themselves depending on his expression, and his jaw occasionally tensed as he reflected on the more challenging coursework.

Life is always learning, one way or another. The most effective lessons are usually the ones that happen outside of a classroom.

He heard the tone from his PADD indicating it was was his turn to approach the desk and receive his holodeck assignment for evaluation.

Ris, as he was known to close friends, walked with a grace and confidence he mostly believed in to the appointed spot in front of the desk.

"Cadet Qab'ataar reporting as directed, Sir."

Another day, and another influx of Cadets ready to take their final examinations, a prospect that Amelina always loved. Sat at her familiar spot overlooking proceedings while being able to give every Cadet her full attention when the time came to approach. The brunette was well known by now, her new status only deepening her love for teaching and for seeing every person who came through the Academy thrive before reaching their ultimate goal: visiting the stars and more.

One such Cadet was Ris'maeriiffa Qab'ataar, who approached the desk with the same manner Amelina had seen in others before him, and would see it again after he had left. Such was the way of life, but one Amelina treasured.

" Cadet Qab'ataar, please report to holodeck five, your Instructor will meet you there".

Lira walked into the Auditorium, looking around slowly. She stood at the back of the line of Cadets that were all waiting to get registered for their final exam. She waited in line until it was her turn to approach the desk.

“Cadet Ghemor reporting for assignment.” She spoke softly but firmly.

Once Qab'ataar had left for his assigned holodeck, Amelina quickly turned her attention to the next Cadet in line. A quick check of the list confirmed which holodeck was available as Cadet Lira Ghemor reported in. While the Acting Dean admired and respected the other departments, Security would always be her passion, thanks to her years of service as an Officer and as an Instructor.

" Cadet Ghemor, please report to holodeck six, your Instructor will meet you there".

The next Cadet to approach bore the colours of Tactical, and again Amelina quickly checked the PADD to confirm which holodeck he would need to report to.  Turning her attention to Li, the Acting Dean responded to him with her usual friendliness and warmth.

" At ease Cadet Li" she said before giving him his instructions. " Please report to Holodeck One, your Instructor will meet you there".
