Upon entering, they stepped onto a marble floor so perfectly polished it seemed liquid, catching light in soft waves as if the stone itself were alive. Despite its glassy sheen, the surface provided flawless traction; the material adjusted instantly to each footstep. At the center of the entry hall towered an ice‑crystal sculpture of the Aquila, refracting light into drifting prismatic colors. A sleek holo‑plaque beneath it shimmered with the words Welcome Crew.
The sculpture stood before a set of oversized smart‑glass doors edged in gold alloy. The trim pulsed gently, outlining each door with a soft glow that responded to motion. Beyond the doors stretched the sky bar. To the left, the wet bar and dining area were crafted from enhanced English Oak—engineered wood with a mirror‑smooth finish and subtle embedded lighting that responded to touch. To the right, a vast dance floor hovered above the forest thirty stories below, its transparent surface projecting a stabilized image so guests could look down without vertigo. The surrounding mountains cast sweeping shadows across the view, giving the entire floor a sense of floating between earth and sky. At the far end, two more luminous glass doors opened onto a sprawling balcony. From there, the crew could breathe in cool, filtered air and admire the crystalline lake below, its shoreline curving into a pale ribbon of beach that met the deep green forest line. Overhead, soft atmospheric shields kept the balcony temperate while allowing an unobstructed view of the open sky. Along the interior walls hung children’s hand‑painted thank‑you pictures, preserved behind protective microglass. Their bright, uneven brushstrokes added a human warmth that quietly softened the bar’s cutting‑edge luxury. Only one rule applied to all who entered: no uniforms. Civilian attire only—stylish, sharp, and unmistakably off‑duty.

Samira felt this was worth the time off the Aquila. Too many corridors for her liking. Here, however, this would've fit how she instinctively first thought of the Aquila, or any Ross-class starship on the inside anyway.
She had often envisioned that there would have to be a huge space on the ship like this, with multiple tiers of balconies and whatnot. Sadly, all she found were constant corridors, at least as far as she knew. So here she was, at the highest view possible, feeling back on Earth, on a mountain, at least the green mountains of California, and not in the the dry, rocky mountains she knew back in Arabia. She wore a shoulder-baring belly shirt, which would've provoked some shock among her tribe but emphasized her culture, while she had robes draped around her arms and shoulders. There can be no doubt she indicated she was off-duty. ==Tag anybody==

As Kalli arrived to the gathering, she was a little more nervous than usual. Social gatherings were never really her thing, but as she had been gaining rank and responsibility, she understood that her attendance was no longer that of just a simple Engineer. On this last mission, she had officially been operating in the role of Acting Chief Engineer. She had often stepped up as the Assistant Engineering Officer when the mission required, but this time it had been the sort of title that was deliberate in that it tested you for the real position. You typically had to function in the Acting position for long enough and receiving appropriate reviews before you could be considered for the CEO spot in full measure. She had now been working hard in her probationary position and although this was off duty time, she knew there was never really off duty time when you were discussing positions of Department Head or higher on a ship. This mission had been quite easy in some aspects, but hard in others. There had been no combat with the ship. No lives had been lost and no Damage Control situations where she had to risk life and limb to keep them on mission. Instead, there had been an entire ship of people with every single minor problem you could imagine. She had never really had to deal with the constant need for maintenance on quality of life items for families and civilians that were attached to the crew. The endless list of things people would constantly need someone to hold their hand for made her eyes roll. She had come dangerously close to stuffing a kid down a toilet after what they had pushed down there on one occasion, but she made it through and had a new Ensign deal with the child. Tonight she was away from all of that though. This was the official closure to the entire mission. In celebration, she had dared to actually wear a dress. It wasn't too fancy, but it was black and came just below the knee. It showed off her shapely calves and had a special element to the fabric that when the light caught it just right, there was a faint gold iridescence that highlighted her curves in very subtle ways. The back was low enough that only about an inch of one of her scars on her back could be seen. Kalli could recall that not so long ago, she insisted on wearing long sleeves and high collars to hide herself. Her friends had managed to help her overcome that over the years. Strolling up to the bar, she tapped a small design on her bracelet and the display in front of the bartender showed a very specific file for him to run for a replicated form of real alcohol. This was another very rare moment for her, as she was known to almost never drink alcohol in public. This was something special though. It was a distinct scan of a very rare kind of wine she had encountered. A friend had introduced her to it years ago. It was from the hillside of a special river in a Germanic part of Europe and she even knew the name of the hill it grew on in Bernkastel. It was a special kind of sweet wine called a Beerenauslese, made from Riesling grapes that had the good luck of a special kind of fungus develop on them. It took just the right kind of growing conditions for this process to happen correctly and she had even learned that it was known as noble rot. It caused a special kind of sweetness in the growing process that was used to create the unique favor. Kalli had found the story about the forming of the wine almost as good as the wine itself. The idea that something bad had to happen to the grapes to make them all the more perfect for the wine, it was like a secret story to her. The wine was fairly rare and rather expensive, but her friend had gotten her a bottle. It was said to be the sort of growing season that only comes around about once every hundred years and it had then been aging for the perfect 15 years before it came to her. She had to scan it and keep it forever. The server placed the wine in front of her with an approving smile. The clear glass held a wine that almost looked to have the golden color of honey. Picking it up, she took a sniff and it smelled perfect. She took a tiny sip and let it sit there on her tongue. She loved that the slight warming feeling of the alcohol made it seem like it was soaking right into her body without ever swallowing it. She couldn't really explain it to people, but she loved that drink like no other. Having now achieved her goal of holding her perfect drink, she turned and slowly took in who else was already there. She spotted a few friends, but knew that she had a way of almost disappearing into a crowd. She was often quiet and enjoyed being underestimated, but she was starting to grow out of that a little more with each mission. Kalli was no longer trying to hide and wondered what tonight might bring. == Tag to all... ==

Walking into the room Cologero was happy to be in civilian clothing, it gave him his own kind of style. When it came to events such as this he would think that Uniforms are tacky, unless it was something to do with diplomats. He didn't notice there were many people he knew yet, seeing how the day was still young they should be around shortly. The best part about the night was Carley in his arm, he was dressed in one of his nicer suits. '
The ice sculpture was a nice touch welcoming the crew, not just the Officers. The marble floor did throw him off about how to walk on it, until he found all the grip he would need. The art work on the walls stood out in a good way, it served as a reminder about what was really important. He did spot one person to talk to, the other should be around eventually. "Lieutenant Khasim." He said with a friendly tone. "I am happy to meet you in person, in a setting like this its perfect." The surroundings were different than he was accustom too, however it was a nice change. Looking around to take in the sites, he noticed the dance floor some place he was going to go a lot tonight. ==Tag==

This was the first time that Carley came to one of these things without being with Beno, this time the company was better. They took a leisurely pace as they walked in the room, Carley was wearing a formal dress that was low cut with heels. At first the hard souls of the shoes were making a sound when they hit the floor, then the program compensated for it.
She knew that Beno would be along shortly, there were always some details that still needed sorting out. Some of those plans walked in the room wrapped under linen, she did have an idea about what was going to happen but wouldn't spill the beans. "Good to see you again." This time Carley was a little reserved, just to try and not to over do things. ==Tag==

Alex decided to wear a very sharp looking dark blue silk suit, but deliberately didn't wear a tie with it. Along with him was Cindy. She was wearing a dark blue dress that almost matched ALex, but it had the novel aspect that tiny dots of light randomly could be noticed appearing and disappearing slowly, as if staring at a night sky with a few handfuls of twinkling stars. The lights appeared to perhaps be holographic, but it was hard to tell. Her dress was attractively low cut and was almost to the floor, but with a slit up each side enough to draw a few appreciative glances, but nothing too daring.
As they entered Cindy smiled and gave a wave to Carley and Cologero as they joined Samira, hoping Samira was in a better mood today and they might all enjoy the evening. Alex gave a wave to Kalli and they joined her at the bar as they ordered drinks. Alex was looking around for the CO and FO, but had not spotted them yet. He presumed they were attending to last minute details and would make a fitting entrance. == Tags... ==

Now that the mission was completed Aanil finally took the time to relax and try to focus on all that had occurred and she realized that this was one mission that she was pleased to see come to an end.
Her part in it was small but she was pleased to be able to stay active, even if she had little to do with the success of the mission. Now that it was completed, she had decided to attend the after mission gathering. The room was filling up and in keeping with her normal habit she proceeded to the bar and climbed up on a stool next to a woman who was facing away as she ordered. The bartender stepped away giving time to note that the woman sitting next to her was the same height, and she seemed to be focused on the others celebrating throughout the room. “Yur a darlin, Sláinte” she toasted in her somewhat thick Irish brogue as she raised the glass, and waited to see who approached. ==Open tag==

Kalli turned and smiled, raised her glass and repeated the toast back to her with a head nod, "Sláinte!"
She then took a small sip of her wine and savored it once more before adding, "I've not heard that one in a while. I can't always recall what they all mean, but I have managed to collect quite a few toast words over the years. That one is certainly one of my favorites, though I think it requires the appropriate accent to do it justice." Kalli then turned to properly face her before commenting, "Cindy told me that you all did some rather fine work in Sickbay. It's no small thing bringing a man back from what should have been certain death. I would have loved to have seen the look on the assassin's face when he found out his target lived through being shot through the heart. I've..." She caught herself and adjusted her train of thought, "...I would have thought such a thing nearly impossible, but sometimes doing the impossible is in our job descriptions. Still, I salute you, doctor." Kalli raised her glass once more as she said the last. == Tag Aanil ==

Troy had on a beautiful civilian dress the midsection in beautiful gold with silver trim, Surik had a silver suit with gold trim and both animals had on gold and silver coats that match Julia and Surik. When they walk into any room they can get heads to turn.
Julia walked into the room with Surik and both animals by her side. Troy know that she walked a little slower than normal cause of the triplets that she was carrying, and she a few people that she recognized. She noticed that the room looked really beautiful and seen the a few places to sit at, so the duo decided to go towards the dining area for her to sit with Surik standing behind her and both animals sitting on the floor by her feet under the table. Troy doesn't know who would come up to her to chat for a bit till the event started, and while waiting she was handed a glass of chocolate milk and a few hamburger sliders. ==Open tag to anyone==

The room felt like he was in the right place, Red had an unusually big smile for such an event. The medical team seemed to be mostly present, including the person he has been taking more of an interest in. He was more curious that anything, he never really took the time like this before. She had this passion for the emotional support animals, something he was only now starting to understand. After getting a single malt scotch Red went to the table where Julia was sitting, as it was there wasn't much traffic in that direction. "Doctor." He said with his glass slightly elevated. "I am looking into getting a cat, it should be a good first pet." They didn't require more attention than they wanted, they really choose to who they would attach themselves too. "Tonight should be a fun night, I am glad you are here for it." His attention wasn't diverted by anyone else in the room. ==Tag==

Julia sensed someone coming in their direction she grabbed Surik's hand and put it on her shoulder while both animals stayed under the table. Troy turned her head in the direction of the person that was approaching them and waited till they spoke.
"Medic hello. That is a good idea and the breed to get is a British Short hair. I've had that breed of cat when I was younger and now I have a savannah along with a Jack Russell terrier. Yes, tonight should be fun, and anything with alcohol could make me nauseous so me and Surik here came over here away from both of the bars. I am glad to be here also with my guy." Troy still doesn't know about him unfortunately she can't avoid him while being in sickbay. "While getting a cat got to set up a spot for the litter box, food and water, along with some cat toys, special cat shampoo, a scratching tree, and some clippers to help with keeping the claws short, plus a collar." ==Tag==

The woman who addressed Aanil was, in height at least of similar size, but the obvious musculature suggested that the Engineer sitting beside was far more formidable than her height would otherwise have suggested.
"Sláinte?, it's an old Irish toast 'To Your Health'; not that you are in need of incentive to maintain yours ." The diminutive redheaded woman smiled, and slid one stool closer. "Since this is a party I suggest we forget rank; Aanil O'Shea at your service; that's quite the impressive physique, but I assume that is more useful for an Engineer than it would be for me in Medical." There were 2 shot glasses in front of her and she slid one in front of the other woman, raising her glass adding, what was likely a traditional toast "May the best day of your past, be the worst day of your future." And with that the tiny redhead slammed the whiskey back, with a clearly practiced tip of the glass and with no obvious reaction to the strong drink. Allowing Kalli to follow up, Aanil ordered "A pint, O yur best, bartender" and then turned again to face her fellow officer. "Excellent choice of dress, I too decided not to show much leg, but it is refreshing to get out of those uniforms, don' ya think lassie?" ==Tag Kalli==

(This post was last modified: 03-18-2026, 10:53 PM by Kalli Thorn.)
At first, Kalli thought Aanil was joking with her, but for whatever reason, she seemed not to remember they had been serving together over the span of a couple of ships. Perhaps she had already had a few drinks before coming to the party. It certainly wasn't unheard of and wasn't any of Kalli's business if she had. Aanil then slid a shot over to Kalli, causing her to raise an eyebrow. It was a rare thing when Kalli did a shot, but tonight was a rare moment for her. She was trying to blaze a bit of a new trail, so she reached over and picked up the shot. She took a sniff of it first and was pretty sure it was some form of whiskey. It really didn't go well with wine, but she would keep it to the one.
Kalli gave a devilish grin and silently raised it in return and tossed it back. It was smoother than she expected. That meant they were using some good stuff for the party. She then responded, "Yes, I have to say that although I have gotten used to the uniforms over the years, I don't miss them when I am out of them. I much prefer the comfort of a fine cotton fabric." It was the devilish grin that Aanil suddenly remembered. She had barely recognized Kalli dressed the way she was. Thorn had been serving with Aanil for a few years now, on more than one ship. This was perhaps the first time she had seen Kalli with her hair down and not in the ponytail. The doctor recalled treating her for some scratches and minor injuries from...um...recreational activities. Although Kalli was the exact same height as Aanil, Kalli had been dating a huge Mirak Leo that was 7 feet tall. How could she ever forget that? It was hard to imagine how they even made that work, but it had been the first time the shy woman had come out of her shell. Now, here the woman sat, well dressed in less than she had ever seen her in outside of an exam room. She even roughly recalled she had scars across her back from an animal attack in her youth. As Aanil tried to reach into her mind for more details, there was something at the edges of her recall about the death of a Tellarite crewman on a classified mission. Some crew had been affected badly and at the end of it a few people had been killed. Most had become uncontrollably violent, as might have been expected. The one she was recalling had a single stab wound at the base of their skull that and cleanly and expertly severed the entire brain stem. Aanil could recall only that it had been done with almost surgical precision and Kalli's statement about it had been simple, matter of fact and without any emotion. The Tellerite had attacked another crewman and Kalli had stopped him, full stop. The mousy, shy and quiet little Engineer had been a survivor of a destroyed colony, but you would not know if from looking at her. Pulling Aanil out of her thoughts, Kalli commented, "I'm so glad that we're doing this party here and not on a planet. I like planets, but every time I go to the surface of one, I regret it. Missions to planets never end well and vacationing to one can be worse. Thank goodness I can now experience high quality holographics in the convenience of our own ship. In no time at all, improvements in processors will make it even better. What's your favorite way to spend your off duty time?" Kalli went back to sipping her glass of wine as she waited for Aanil to respond. == Tag Aanil ==

He didn't want to intrude on what could be a date, or make her feel uncomfortable around him and his drink. He just wanted a little conversation, but now it was over. "Yes I will take your advice on the cat, I shall think of an appropriate name." He didn't have much experience with that, but there was always time. "With that I will take my leave, enjoy." He lifted his glass as a parting gesture. Leaving the table he made his way towards Alex, there was a lot of things going on but something didn't feel right. Going to him Red walked by a few people, and greeted him with a smile. "Greetings Commander." He started. "May we speak for a minute? Do you feel any differently since returning from the surface?" Alex gave a grin and a polite nod as he exchanged greetings with Raymond, "Mister Reddington."
At being asked if they could speak for a minute, He responded honestly, "Certainly." At then being asked if he felt any differently since returning from the surface, Alex gave a puzzled look, "I'm not sure I understand your question. I think I'll need you to be a bit more specific." == Tag Reddington ==

To clarify the question a bit more, he thought about how different people are effected by weather patterns. If they went from a nice hot day and then it starts to rain, that turns to snow back to a nice sunny day. Different people get effected differently, and even not at all. "You are the second member of the away team I have seen since coming back, with everything effecting the atmosphere much like a change in pressure. It can effect differently each kind of life form, I am simply establishing a bench mark of what is normal." He stopped and thought about it again. "Just realizing how it sounds, a minor procedure was required but everything is just fine. One thing that people often experience is dizziness, sometimes hours after conditions change for the second time." Chances were good no one else would feel it, and if they did the only two things required were rest and time. ==Tag==

Understanding dawned on Alex and his expression reflected this, "Ah, a medical question about the physical impact of the mission. I see. Well, I suppose I have become quite accustomed to such temporary inconveniences. Much lie visiting almost any place, I felt the effects of the cultural adjustment more than any physical discomforts. As a Betazoid, I noticed the kinds of thoughts and emotions that are or are not common with a culture set a tone, much like the voices you hear in a room, but heard with a different ear. As for lingering effects of the mission, I have none to report. I've been on so many planets and interacted with so many types of life forms that I suppose I have become numb to such matters if they aren't strong or have residual medical implications. If you do encounter any such reports from the team, I would be very interested to know about them, for future reference."

Thankfully he wasn’t feeling any discomfort at the party, which could mean the others wouldn’t either. “Actually much like a bug bite it wouldn’t affect us much, but Velaul would need treatment before rejection.” A few seconds later a waiter came to the pair. “Pardon me bet Commander Talion you are being summoned to the entrance, someone needs an escort.” Beno was waiting at the door dressed in a nice strapless blue dress with matching gloves that went to the elbow. ==Tag==

Alex commented to Reddington, "Ah, yes. I see your concern there. I'm not aware of anything specific. We pretty much avoided eating or drinking anything, but you're right to be concerned. I'll certainly let you know if I notice anything that fits into that line of thinking."
Then he was informed by a waiter that he was needed at the entrance, "Please excuse me, it appears that duty calls." Alex gave a wordless glance to Cindy who simply gave the slightest hint of a nod, something unspoken being exchanged between them as he made his way to the entrance. To his pleasant surprise, it was Beno. His face brightened a bit and he gave her an appreciative look, "Well, you certainly look ravishing this evening. I thought I had seen a new side of you on the mission, but this is an entirely different version of being out of uniform." He gave his jacket a tug and offered his arm, "It would be my honor, my lady." == Tags to both Reddington and Beno, though I suspect everyone will notice her entrance. ==

Jez didn’t feel much like celebrating, but if she didn’t attend the party, people would ask questions. Some would assume that she was depressed. It’s not that she was depressed; she had initiated the legal proceedings against Devyn Ukinix and the Ninth House. Hopefully, this wouldn’t bring down the Noble Houses of Betazed.
Jez entered the foyer, the floor looked to be a marble of some type a Calacatta Marble, or a Crema Marfil, or Gastion, an Andorian type of marble, either way it was highly polished, it had a shimmer like a still pond, it was like a mirror it reflected the over head chandelier lights beautifully, it was something out of a fairytale. Jez dressed in a casual outfit, a chaquetilla ( A short bullfighter's jacket), leather with purple accents, and matching boots. K’Vada was dressed in a red leather dress trimmed in gold and black leather thigh-high boots. “ Come on, you’ll feel better if you mix and mingle, a few drinks, a dance, a few laughs.” K'Vada insisted. Jez knew K’Vada was right, but sometimes it was hard to put on a happy face when you’re going into a battle that in all likelihood, you will lose. The Ninth House had money, power, and influence. What did she have, two Archeologists, and two Vulcan Science ministers? The odds weren’t exactly stacked in her favor. Yes, Commander Talion’s family was powerful, and Star Fleet could only shield Jez to a certain degree, but eventually the Federation would succumb to pressure from the Betazoid government, and the Federation would make Jez hand over her baby if she lost the custody battle. Jez spotted Commander Velaul and Commander Talion speaking with a man whose name she couldn’t remember, Raymond Redding…Redding, something ... .She asked a waiter for mineral water with an orange slice. She made her way over to her friends. ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada ordered a chilled Blood Wine. K'vada had a major crush on Commander Talion; she often fantasized about his beautiful brain and his creative energies. She loved working for Talion, but he seemed so focused on work, and then again, the rumors were that Talion and Velaul were secretly married. K’Vada wasn't sure if she was jealous of Velaul or envious of Velaul being so close to him. == Lieutenant Jez Mala Betazoid/ Vulcan, Security Officer == Jez and K’Vada made their way over to Talion and Velaul, Commander Talion was dressed in a smart dark blue silk suit, he looked dapper, even if he wasn’t wearing a tie, he radiated a raw animal magnetism, it was easy to see how Beno could fall for Alex, Beno on the other hand a tough as nails a formidable negotiator, surely she put up a good fight. Jez knew she had picked right, asking Commander Velaul and Talion, as well as the Captain, to be Godparents to her baby. “Good evening, all.” Said Jez. “ Wonderful Party, “ Added K’Vada. == Tag All. ==

Blushing herself with the compliment, Beno placed her arm in his. She was feeling lighter on her feet after putting the uniform aside, to avoid long term health problems it was needed. "Thank you, you are a very handsome man. This is a side of me I haven't let out in years, Carley has been wanting me to do this for years." Beno smiled for a second. "In Ten Forward for those few minutes it was liberating, no fate of the Federation just a little time out."
Soon after Jez arrived with K'vada, Beno smiled to welcome them both. "Thank you I have also arranged for a few surprises for people, a taste of home and nothing was replicated there. This includes a few flavors of Gagh, that pairs well with the Blood wine I hear it is from a good year." Its been a while since she felt anything like this. On Away teams Beno always felt secure, weather she was on it or leading it. This time she felt a calming force that didn't originate from her, something that aloud her to maintain an level head kind of like having secondary shields. This party had a few surprises that would truly reflect on their adventure, and this would be a lot of fun. "I have prepared a surprise for everyone, this one should be the best one yet, I am just waiting for the Captain to arrive. Giving time to fully socialize before the show, something special for everyone." This was her favorite part of everything, one day she would have to pass it on to someone else but for now she would enjoy this. "Why don't we have a round of drinks, and we can toast to the crew." Hopefully they didn't overdo it too much, she needed to be spry for a little longer. "Alex I believe this officially counts as our first date." She said this to make him blush one more time, and it was the first time for a long time she let down all of her defenses. Anyone who was empathic would feel that shift in emotion, to her it felt real good. ==Tag==

Beno was right, her comment about this being their first date did indeed cause Alex to blush, but he also smiled.
"Well, this night IS full of surprises." Alex asked what Beno would like to drink, then made sure that drinks were brought for all. Cindy was interested in what Kalli had been sipping, so she got one of those. Alex, being a gentleman, would try a glass of what Beno requested, curious about what her tastes were for the evening and doing his best to relate. Beno had caught him off guard again. Although he had not anticipated an actual date with Beno, he had to confess to himself that it was a welcome feeling. She was bold and reminded him of why he had fallen in love with his wife. He realised that perhaps he did have a type, but it was more about the spirit of the person than their appearance. That thought made him also realise that he found her Trill spots to be unexpectedly attractive to him. While the drinks were being brought to them, Alex leaned closer to Beno and said, "I confess that I have never dated a trill, but I have read what material I could find about the various aspects of Trill culture. I was intrigued to discover that the Trill spots are as unique to an individual as fingerprints, with no two people having the same patterns." He glanced at how her spots ran down along her exposed skin, "I also confess that I do find your spots to be far more alluring than I was prepared for. I have had to resist the influence of an Orion woman on one occasion, but didn't know that Trill women had such an ability as well. Should I be worried?" His smile widened and his voice had softened in a way that had a confiding and authentic feel to it. He was aware that he was seeing a new side of her and was, in his own way, trying to do the same. Their earlier talk in Ten Forward had opened a door. They had talked honestly to each other and it had not involved rank or position at all. They both brought unusual levels of experience to the table and he enjoyed talking to her. He had no idea what was happening in the long term, but he had to admit to himself that Beno fascinated him in ways that few people could. He valued that in ways that were hard for him to explain to most people. He had few close friends, but certainly felt that he could see great potential in his friendship with Beno. He refused to let his head get too far ahead of himself beyond that. He knew that to let his imagination run away on him was folly and he didn't want to be distracted from the genuine moment. He did like that he felt in good company though and for the first time in quite a while, he felt good. == Tags...what are we drinking? ==

Julia didn't know that this was a date and she didn't view it as a date with her imazdi along with both animals being under the table. All Troy knew was that Surik and her had to be there and she didn't know why that they had to be there. She could sense a little confusion but a lot of happiness, excitement, and joy coming from those that have already gotten there and there was still more of the crew to get there.
Troy didn't mean to offend and put off Redington the way she did. All Julia needs to do is apologize and explain to him that it wasn't his fault at all. Samira just shook her head. She couldn't begin to wonder who to talk to. Too many people, too big of a ship. It was just too much for her.
"Allah's sake, what had I had been thinking, winding up on a flying city like this? It's just too big," she sighed with discouraged weariness. She set her glass down and got a PADD out. Addressed to Captain Roger Brooks and Commander Beno Velaul...

Carley was enjoying her time with Cologero thinking that there wasn't going to be any surprises, until she seen Beno with Alex. She glanced at first until the second look, the surprise was too hard to conseil. She looked stunning in her new dress but the big surprise was the Samarian Sunset, something she only drank when they were enjoying easier times. "Pardon me but I have..." She wasn't sure how to finish that.
Coming to where they were. "Don't you two look like the cute couple, its been a while since we left Earth. Alex keep her away from Jager bombs, car bombs.. pretty much any shots or drop shots. She can be fun with these things, or get us banned from another Bar." Those were fun times that almost got them in trouble, so were times as a Midshipman to Lieutenant. "You two should have fun together, are you two going to dance?" She wasn't sure if they were, but there was a great dance floor not to far away. ==Tag==

Jez was enjoying the party, the music was a soft Earth Jazz if she wasn’t mistaken; people had broken off into scattered groups, talking and laughing. The waiter returned with her mineral water and K’Vada’s Blood Wine.
Commander Velaul surprised K’Vada when she said, "Thank you, I have also arranged for a few surprises for people, a taste of home, and nothing was replicated there. This includes a few flavors of Gagh that pair well with the Blood wine. I hear it is from a good year." K’Vada was indeed surprised that the Commander had gotten fresh Gagh; it’s always better when fresh. K’Vada really liked Terran Chinese Spring Rolls. Jez, on the other hand, was hoping that they would have Thai Miang Kham (Flavor Bomb Leaf Wraps): Betel leaves (or lettuce) filled with lime, chili, shallots, roasted coconut, peanuts, and dried shrimp with a sweet sauce. She developed a taste for them as a Cadet back in the academy. There was a little Thai place not far from the Academy that served them over a tasty coconut rice. K'Vada saw Commander Talion blushing, which only confirmed the rumors that the Commander and the First Officer were involved in a romantic way of some sort. K’Vada felt hurt; she really had hoped that the rumors weren’t true. Jez gave Counselor Troy a polite nod, as if to say, "Hello, how have you been?" Jez liked her very much; she had helped Jez sort out her feelings about being pregnant, but Jez often wondered about the relationship between the Counselor and her dogs. Were they emotional support dogs, or did they detect seizures or something? Either way, Jez found the dogs relaxing. K’Vada spotted Lieutenant Khasim, and she made her way over and said, "Good evening, Lieutenant. I’ve been meaning to ask, are you the same Samira Khasim who wrote the fascinating paper on the Comparative Biology of the Klingon Mountain Targ, of Krios Prime?” Said K’Vada, her tone full of curiosity. K’Vada had read the paper in her Junior year at the Academy; it was a truly fascinating read. It explained the difference between the various Targ subspecies: the Mountain Targ, the Swamp Targ, the Forest Targ, and the Ice Targ. The paper held a particular love for K’Vada as she had a Targ growing up as a child. She didn’t recall what type of Targ it was, as she actually grew up on a Federation colony. Jez, feeling a little mischievous, looked at Commander Talion and thought to him. ~ I told you she had a thing for you.~ Jez thought that Talion and Velaul were a good match. He was scientifically brilliant, she was street-wise, and no doubt the experience from all the hosts that Trills had. He was rugged and handsome. Velaul was beautiful and a formidable woman when it came to negotiations; the two complemented each other. Jez could see them raising her child in case something should happen to her. Jez smiled and took a sip of her mineral water. == Tag All. ==

Alex was impressed with the choice in drink. The Samarian Sunset was very difficult to pull off, from a technical perspective. He held up a finger to her to wait befor initiating it and said to her, "There's also a tradition that has mostly been forgotten, that the initiating of the color should come from the clinking of your glass with another. However, you can only do so once with this drink, so one must be quite selective in the choice. It can mean different things, depending on the local custom, but it is always considered significant in some way."
He then held his glass up to her's and as they tapped them together, it initiated the reaction. Others tried the same, but some colors were different than others. Alex glanced around and added in a hushed tone, "Some hold the colors to be omens for the future, but it is actually the glass used and the accuracy of the mixture that reveals the resonance. Still, it does make for a great story. It appears your idea is quite a hit. I applaud your sense of showmanship." All around them, people were talking about the drinks. Alex gave her a wink, "Well played." Alex was then surprised by the telepathic comment from Jez, ~I told you she had a thing for you.~ He no outward sign at all of having received the message, but sent back a reply, ~I was just informed that this is our first official date. I confess that I'm a little nervous, though I'm unsure if that is a good thing or not. I guess that if I'm nervous, then it must mean that I care about the end result.~ Alex was amused by Carley. He had been a bit wild in his past as well, but he hoped none would hold it against him. He wasn't proud of some of his behavior back then, but sometimes that was part of the fun of being young. She finally asked if Alex and Beno were going to dance. He replied, "Well, should the lady wish to dance, I would certainly not deny her. This dress practically begs to be on display in some form and I would think that a dance might be a perfect form or doing so." Talion was being every bit the gentleman and the grin on his face reflected his confidence in the fact that he had been well instructed in the art of various forms of dancing for public events. There were a constant schedule of diplomatic and social gatherings that he was required to attend with his parents from an early age on.His sister had been quite instrumental in helping him to learn how and where to place his hands. Alex was quite light on his feet and for his size, he was graceful and had a good sense of timing. He drew the line at some culturally significant dances, as they could be overly complicated and you had to take care about when a dance wasn't just a dance. However, he was all too aware that in a great many social situations, dancing was used as a means to evaluate each other on how well the two could work together and trust each other, but of course that always depended on the dance. Beno wasn't a telepath or an empath, but she had now spent enough time around Alex that she was able to pick up on some things. One of those was that while he was around, she could literally feel something different. The room felt safer, more comfortable. The room might seem more comfortable, less loud, the lght not quie as harsh. She knew the room hadn't actually changed, but there was some form of perception that could recognise a tangible sense of his protective nature. He didn't impose it in any way and he never said anything about it, but it was there. It was a known quality about some Betazoids, that they often had a calming presence in a room, but that was always things people simply said. Now, having spent increasingly more time with Alex, as their working relationship and day to day connection with each other had increased, she could understand more clearly how Betazoids created relationships with a depth that was hard to put into words, even with their friends. The deeper the relationship, the stronger the connection. Standing there, next to Alex, she was acutely aware of the connection. It had not been sudden or unexpected, but it was now something that she was consciously aware of. == Tag to all, but especially Beno, Carley and Jez ==

Samira looked at the Klingon in surprise. "Yes...that had been more of a class essay," she said, after a moment of thinking, recalling if she made a biological paper on Targs. "I'm surprised it made its way out the Academy, it was something more for my required biology class."
She hadn't thought of that paper in years, thinking it a simple assignment. She did look into different types of Targs, yes, but mostly to see how they compared to Terran pigs and would thus make them entirely different from pigs so despised by her own people.

Beno had an equally widened smile. "Its been a while since I dated, plus most people really want to see how far these spots go down. If you had anything to worry about, it would be the smile you can't hide in the morning." It has been a while since Beno let herself have anything of a personal life, when she did it was extremely fun. "One of the benefits have having experiences that go far back is.." She hesitated for a second. "I will allow your imagination fill in the rest, it might not be too far off." Soon after Carley approached, a person who was there for a few of those adventures. "You two should have fun together, are you two going to dance?" Beno did have a bit of a red face when Carley arrived, she was right about the drink selections, they did fuel a few adventures. This dress practically begs to be on display in some form and I would think that a dance might be a perfect form or doing so." There was one dance that Beno had wanted to do for a long time, it was a long time since she had done it. "Actually yes there is one dance I haven't been able to do for years, the Tango." It was an up close and personal dance that requires precise timing, and proper footing. Letting her hair down this much would show a side of her that wanted to come out, but she kept it under wraps. Tonight there is no responsibility just a great time, tomorrow would be a different story. The difference is the personal side of her won't be buried so deep, she kept people out using the classic defense of a joined Trill. The lesson she learned from another joined Trill who was older than her, was as times change people should change with them. ==Tag==

When Beno turned red at some of the comments made by Carley, it surprised Alex again. He had never seen Beno blush so deeply. It was a good sign, in his eyes. It showed that she could let go and have a personal side. He was also learning a few details about her that he wasn't expecting, but it allowed him to see her more as a person. Alex understood all too clearly how it was easy to fall into the trap of thinking of people as the job they did or the rank they wore. It was part of why he tried to avoid the use of rank unless it was an absolute necessity. He valued the experience a person brought to a project, not their rank. Since they had returned from the mission, he had been reminded that Beno was a person and as such deserved to be treated like one and sometimes allowed to be one without the chains of obligation that sometimes came with the job. He had been an FO and knew what that was like.
Beno's reply to his comments about her spots made him grin and even blush a little again. He wasn't going to say it, but yes, his thoughts had wandered to the fact that he knew where those spots went and as a male with a healthy sex drive, he had allowed his mind to wander to what that view might look like in her case. He had enough self control to not let his mind dwell there too long. it did no good to let his hormones get too far ahead of his brain. If Beno had an interest in him in that way, she would let him know. She was bold and outspoken, so it seemed almost without question that she would not be shy about such a thing. Alex was terrible about flirting and knew he had little skill in that area. He was lucky if he managed to pick up on someone flirting with him, to the point that his wife had told him once that even when hit over the head with it, he had trouble seeing it at times. That though broadened his smile a little, knowing he was guilty as charged. Beno then stated the challenge. She did want to dance and it was the infamous Tango. He did know the dance, but it had been a while. His mind raced for a second, trying to be sure he recalled the steps and that he was up to the task. Managing to appear to respond without hesitation, he held out his hand and gave a slight bow as he said, "As you wish..." Alex's pulse picked up a little as he did so. He had said it without thinking, not realizing she may or may not know the reference. It was too late to take it back though. The Tango was legendary as a dance of passion. His sister had worked hard on it with him, swearing he would thank her one day, though he had never had need of it until now. His sister had gone to great length to get him to show the expression it required. She had been such a romantic at heart and taught him to play the part well. She showed him countless holo-vids and helped him to understand the performance. It was the only acting she ever really taught him and he had learned it well. The tricky part was not going to be remembering the moves, but for him to get the performance part right. He realized that he was not nervous about his dancing, but because he didn't want to disappoint Beno. Once again, he realized that he cared about how this went. When had she made such an impression on him? How had this taken place without him realizing it until now? Maybe those trill spots were used to hypnotize him in some way. His mind knew that was silly, yet here he was, feeling that he was under some sort of spell. That was silly though, right? What would Kristina have said about it? He instantly imagined her rolling her eyes at him, shaking her head and smiling like she did when she reminded him that he could sometimes be so smart and so stupid at the same time and it was part of what she had loved about him. That thought didn't really help, but it made him recall that he often overthought things. The women of his life, including his own daughter, would tell him to stop doing so, so he tried his best to do so. He took a deep breath and let it out. He needed to stop thinking so much and just follow his instincts. He wasn't sure where that would lead him, but he was going to do his best with that. == Tags! ==

Beno smiled as she caught the reference—now all she needed was a horse actually named Horse.
“Lead the way, my Westley.” Alex didn’t hesitate. He took off his jacket handing it off to Carley, then he unbuttoned his top button. He guided her straight to the center of the dance floor, like there was nowhere else they were meant to be. At first, he played the gentleman perfectly—his left hand holding hers, his right resting carefully at her rib cage. Controlled. Respectful. Safe. But then it shifted. Slowly… deliberately… his hand slid to the small of her back. Beno’s breath caught—just slightly, just enough that she noticed it. That spot wasn’t casual. It wasn’t friendly. It wasn’t something she let people do. “Let’s have some fun with this.” She winked, but there was something behind it now—something sharper, more dangerous. The first notes of Por una Cabeza curled through the air, low and intoxicating. Her eyes locked onto his, and this time she didn’t look away. At first, she felt it—the hesitation in him. The almost imperceptible uncertainty in where his hand should go, how close he was allowed to pull her, how far he could take this. It made her want to smile. But then it changed. Something in him settled, like a decision had been made. And suddenly— They fit. Not just in movement, but in something deeper. Each step found its place without thought. Each turn came naturally, like they had done this before—like their bodies understood something they hadn’t said out loud. His hand at her back grew firmer. Not possessive… but no longer asking. Her fingers tightened slightly in his. The space between them disappeared. She could feel everything now—the steady rhythm of his breathing, the warmth of him through the thin barrier of fabric, the way he adjusted—subtly, instinctively—just to keep her closer. In his arms, the rest of the room dissolved. There was no music. No audience. Just him. He pulled her in, closer than before, wrapping her into him for a fleeting second that felt far too long—and not long enough. Her arm curved around him without thinking, her body following his lead without question. Then the spin. The world tilted as he sent her out and down, Beno arching back, trusting him completely. Her body bent into the movement, suspended for a breathless second—vulnerable, exposed— Caught. When she rose again, there was a rose in her hand. She didn’t question it. She slid the stem between her lips, her gaze never leaving his. Now it wasn’t just a dance. It was a conversation. A challenge. A promise. Every step after that was closer. Tighter. Charged. Their movements sharpened, slowed, stretched—like neither of them wanted it to end, like they were both aware of exactly how thin the line had become. Her pulse betrayed her, quickening with every turn, every brush of his hand, every moment he didn’t let her go. Or maybe she just didn’t want him to. The final movement came too soon. He brought her in, stopping them both in one smooth motion, their bodies nearly pressed together. Her hand still rested in his. His still at her back. Their faces inches apart. Too close. Close enough that she could feel his breath. Close enough that if either of them moved—just slightly— It would happen. Her lips parted, just barely. She wanted to. God, she wanted to. But she didn’t move. Couldn’t. Not this time. That choice… she left to him. The silence between them stretched, heavy and electric, before the world rushed back in all at once. Only then did she realize people were watching. She didn’t mind. Not when her entire world was still standing right in front of her. Alex didn't stop there, dipping her one more time he kissed her passionately. As they kissed Alex could tell she was turning to putty in his hands, her knees were weakening. Before Beno knew it most of her weight was being supported by his arm, and her thigh was elevated in his other hand. Kissing him back Beno had her eyes closed as some feelings came back to her, right now she only knew two things. One was the Tango was done to perfection, even the Spanish notorious romantics would be jealous. The other was since the invention of the kiss there had been five kisses that were rated as the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind. ==This post involved another Character, I have approval from the owner before posting.==

Joining Carley in the small group, he felt a bit confused until he fully realized what was happening. It was as surprising as it was delightful—she was heading toward a friend who stood in the arm of Commander Talion. From Carley’s behavior, it seemed Beno was acting out of character; the feeling was more shock than anger.
He watched as Carley took the jacket before the two made their way to the dance floor. At first, he didn’t think much of it, but once it began in earnest, everything about the dance captivated Cologero. As an Italian, he had seen many people dance, but none with that level of passion. Walking up behind Carley, he murmured, “I guess this might change everything.” He kept watching, impressed by how every movement was perfectly in sync, as if they had been lovers for years. A part of him wanted to join them on the floor, but the Italian in him decided against it—it would only take away from a performance he could sum up in two words: absolutely beautiful. Just when he thought it was ending, another surprise struck—the kiss. On a scale of one to ten, it was a ten viewed through a high-powered telescope. “If that doesn’t change everything, I have no clue what would.” As the new guy on the ship, he didn’t know as much as the others, but the romantic in him believed this was just the beginning. Once they let go of parts of their past, their passion could burn with the power of a quasar. If he was this stunned, he could only imagine the impact on those who knew her best. When it fully bloomed, it would set a new gold standard for passion. ==Tag==

Kalli saw someone approach Alex and he quickly went excused himself from a conversation and headed to the entrance. A moment later, he entered with Beno on his arm.Kalli was curious about this interesting turn of events. The FO looked stunning in her dress and it was nice to see Alex being more social again. Kalli could certainly relate to the gravitational pull toward solitude in the wake of grief, but just as she was struggling to finally find a new way forward, it felt good to see Alex stepping out of his own shadows for a change.
The FO then had special drinks brought out for everyone. Kalli took one, but wasn't sure what it was until she saw people imitating Alex and Beno by clinking glasses, then she realized what it was. Kalli smiled and clink her glass with Aanil's and giggled as it began to change. She took a sip and nodded to Aanil, "Not bad. It's a little sour, like a citrus or something, but not too strong. I kind of like it." There was some talking going on that she couldn't hear, but then saw Alex take off his jacket and begin to lead Beno out to the center of the dance floor. Kalli hopped down from her seat and tried to get Aanil to follow her, "Come on, I want to see this!" Kalli found a spot in the crowd, next to Cologero. She did a double-take and smiled at him, "Hello again. I'm not used to a man being more my size." The way she said it and the look in her eyes made t clear that she meant it as a compliment. She seemed to consider him for a second and got a bit of a devilish grin before focusing her attention back on Alex and Beno. The dance began and the music struck at Kalli's heart strings. Oh, such music! She loved good music! Her jaw began to drop at watching the two own the dance floor. She had no idea that Alex could dance and was stunned by the amazing performance of the two. At the end, Kalli couldn't believe it. She stood there, stunned. They held for a second, so close yet not kissing. Then they went for the kiss and that's when Kalli realized she had been holding her breath at the end and let it out with a whispered, "Wow!" It was only after the kiss that Kalli realized she had reached over and steadied herself by grabbing onto the arm of Cologero. She also had not been aware of how hard she had grasped him. Kalli was rarely at such a loss and she was considerably strong for a human female. Looking down at her hand, she quickly released her grip on the poor man and was instantly apologetic. "Oh! I'm sorry!" She was glancing from Cologero to the floor and back as if watching a tennis match. "Um...I..." She cringed a bit and whispered, "I didn't hurt you, did I?" Although her grip had been strong, enough to temporarily cut off his circulation in that arm, she hadn't injured him. The diminutive Engineering Officer had a reputation for being almost as strong as a Klingon, but was relatively secretive and reclusive in her off duty time. Rumors were rampant on the ship, as with all ships, but in all the times he had seen her, this was the first time seeing her in a dress. Kalli had stopped talking and was glancing around. It appeared she was not the only one shocked by the amazing display they had all been watching so intently. Kalli then finally whispered once again, the single word as she stared at the couple in the center of attention, "Wow..." == Tag to Cologero and still waiting for a tag back from Aanil ==

Jez smiled when Commander Talion responded to her telepathic communication.
~I was just informed that this is our first official date. I confess that I'm a little nervous, though I'm unsure if that is a good thing or not. I guess that if I'm nervous, then it must mean that I care about the end result.~ Jez just couldn’t picture Alex being nervous about being in a relationship; it just didn’t make sense. Jez took a sip of her drink and then said to K’Vada. “If you really like Commander Talion, then tell him, a Klingon doesn’t hesitate, they see something, and if they want it, they take it, right?’ Said Jez. “But keep in mind, you are a lieutenant, and he is a Commander, and Star Fleet has a very clear policy about senior officers fraternizing with junior officers,” added Jez. “I know, I know. But he is so, just so,,,tuj (hot/burning)” Replied K’Vada, Jez smiled, yes Commander Talion by every measure was hot, sexy. It’s just she didn’t realize that Klingons had a word for sexy hot. “ I would love to be Lukara to his Kahless,” Said K”Vada. “ K’Vada, you’re a very attractive woman, but maybe someone like Ensign Coppola is what you need; his people conquered one of the largest Empires of Ancient Earth, he’s handsome and very intelligent.” Said Jez. K’Vada looked at Coppola, “His people had an Empire?” Said K’Vada. “Yes, NO,,, Said Jez, He is Italian, and at one time in Terran History the Roman Empire conquered much of the known world at the time, Western Europe, Most of Spain and Portugal (then Hispania), All of France (Gaul), Parts of Germany west of the Rhine River, Britain up to roughly modern-day Scotland (as the province of Britannia) Central & Eastern Europe, The Balkans, including areas of modern Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Greece The province of Dacia (roughly modern Romania), The Middle East, Turkey (Anatolia), Syria and Lebanon, Israel / Palestine Parts of Iraq (briefly under Trajan), North Africa, and the coastal regions of Egypt Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco along the Mediterranean.” Added Jez. “ The Romans gave the Terrans things like art, literature, culture, architecture, medicine, and law. “ Stated Jez. K”Vada looked at Ensign Coppola with new eyes she had chatted with him before on a few different occasions; he was kind and sweet, but he seemed a little aloof, but he had warriors blood in his veins, K’Vada was half Klingon and always thought that people expected her to behave like a Klingon, but she was half Vulcan, which made her question was there such a thing as a Logical Warrior? She looked at Jez and said, “Excuse me,” and made her way over to Ensign Coppola. “Good to see you again, Cologero.” Said K’Vada, her tone warm and friendly. == Tag All. ==

==NPC Reese Taylor and Tom Bishop==
They walked in together expecting a good time, and from the looks of it, they’d come to the right place. The music wasn’t quite what they had anticipated, but they shrugged it off and headed straight for the bar. As they made their way through, Taylor wondered why people were staring at the dance floor—until he saw it. “Cute couple dancing,” Reese remarked, continuing on. “Wait.” He looked again at the pair on the floor. “It’s about time.” He knew Tom wouldn’t get it. “Somewhere between the planet, Ten Forward, and here, something started to grow. No one gets that close to someone who just got shot without flinching.” The kiss left even him speechless; he wasn’t sure what to make of it. ==Cologero== Feeling a slight ache, Cologero smiled—it wasn’t too bad. “Don’t worry about it, I’m just glad it wasn’t worse for either of us.” If his arm had stopped her from falling and getting hurt, he considered it a stroke of luck. “I think it’s safe to say a lot of people are enjoying this—and are a bit shocked.” Overall, he was happy for them both. He was pleased to see K’Vada again. “A pleasure,” he greeted warmly. “A pleasure to see you again.” His tone matched his smile. “You look beautiful,” he added, genuinely admiring her. “May I offer you a drink at the bar? I’d like to get to know you.” He was intrigued by her, though he doubted she’d feel the same. ==Tag==

K’Vada smiled at Cologero. He looked so handsome. She smiled at Cologero’s offer. “Well, I already have some Blood Wine, but I would be interested in hearing about your people’s Empire. “ Said K’Vada, her tone inquisitive.
K’Vada had seen Cologero around the ship from time to time, they even had been assigned to the same duty shift on the Bridge, granted she was at the aft Science Station and he at the Tactical position, to her Cologero seemed so driven, so focused on his job that he seemed difficult to approach, there had been times on the Bridge when she wanted to engage in conversation with him, but didn’t feel that they would have much in common. What can a Half Klingon Half Vulcan and a Human talk about? Yes, they were both Star Fleet Officers, but that was about it. However, knowing this new information about Cologero gave them a common subject; the Klingon Empire and the Roman Empire would give them lots to talk about. “Come, let's get a table and talk.” Said K’Vada. == Tag. ==

Aanil began to realize that not taking the nap she had planned for at the end of her shift; and then choosing to head to the party anyway was the cause of her confusion during her initial chat, The conversation with Kalli went well, but as it continued the lack of meaningful sleep was hindering her ability to keep up, but being a stubborn sort she pushed on.
Fortunately, Kalli was an interesting conversationalist the chat did indeed bring back memories of their past interactions along with the Mirak Leo and the confrontation she had with the Tellerite; something that the young Engineer handled quite well. Interjecting Aanil agreed with the assertion that being shipboard did indeed make for strong bonds. It was about that point in their chat that people watching became more compelling and Aanil was content; at least for the moment to observe. It was clear given that she had added very little to the discussions with the Engineer; that being an observer was more her current speed, and watched as two of her fellow senior officers were indeed getting along very well. ==Tag==

Kalli turned to apologize once more to Cologero, but just then Mala and her friend approached and began eagerly talking to him, not even noticing Kalli. She had always been short and had an almost unnatural ability to disappear when she wanted to, but sometimes it was annoying to not be seen. Seeing it as an opportunity to escape further embarrassment, she simply turned and walked back to the bar to take her seat again next to Aanil.
Seeing Aanil looking a bit out of sorts, Kalli asked, "Is everything alright?"

Julia heard the music for a a dance to start and when she got up from in her chair with Surik by her side. Troy had Dot jump into her chair and Spike jump into Surik's chair before they slowly walked over to the dance floor and by the time they got there she had seen the FO and the CSF kiss. She was shouting way to go in her mind that way others won't hear her shouting.
Troy seen who was playing the music for people to dance to and she went over to request a slow song from her home planet of Betazed for her and Surik to dance to. Julia and Surik started to hold hands to dance to the song that she had requested from them. She had always looked beautiful in the one of a kind dresses that she had made with a matching suit, and she was surprised that not a lot of people seen her in her beautiful gold dress with a black and silver trim and Surik in a silver suit with a black and gold trim. For some reason she wants to be around people and talk to them without being in the office. ==Tag==

When Alex finally broke the kiss, he lingered for a moment longer. Their lips were still barely touching, their breathing barely under control and able to feel each other's pulse in their complicated embrace. His hand was still high on her thigh, holding her in position, his other arm easily holding her steady, as if she weighed nothing at all. He slowly stood back up, bringing her with him, letting his hand linger as long as he dared at her thigh, but gently allowing her to regain her feet as he did so. Only once he was certain she was solidly standing did he step a little to the side, but his eyes were locked on hers until the last minute, at which point they booth took a small bow for the crowd as they applauded. Alex gestured to Beno, in a way that directed the credit to her and he bowed to her as well before stepping closer again and whispering, "For a first date, you sure do set the bar high."
Alex then walked her back to the side. They both needed to catch their breath and get a drink. This time, as they walked, it was slower, as if reluctant to leave the dance floor. His hand was holding hers and even letting her use him to steady herself, but instead of leading her, he was deliberately walking beside her and by the end, allowing her to lead the way by about a half step. Alex had a hard time taking his eyes off of her as he helped her find her seat. Cindy greeted them both, holding out their drinks, knowing they were both thirsty after that. With raised eyebrows, she said, "That was quite a dance! The entire place was glued to your performance." Her grin became a bit more playful as she added, "That kiss at the end...I don't recall that part from your dance lessons." Alex smiled at Cindy as he took his drink, "Well, no. However, to be fair, it was my sister who was teaching me at the time and as much as I loved her, that is not the way I would have kissed my twin sister. You should perhaps classify it as artistic improvisation in the heat of the moment." Cindy's smile widened and she looked at Beno as if to ask if she was buying what he was saying, "Well there was certainly a heat of the moment, I give you that. You didn't have to be an empath to pick up on what you two were laying down out there. I'm not even an organic and it got my pulse going." Cindy handed Beno her drink, continued to smile and added a small wink, "Way to own the room. I have to say, I love your style." She then took a step back and closed with, "Let me know if you two need anything." As Cindy went to step away, there was another glance between Cindy and Alex where Cindy gave just a hint of a nod, which Alex returned in an equally almost imperceptible manner. Beno had seen such glances before, but Cindy had not typically been around as much since the end of the mission. Since she had not been forced out of physical form, she had been seen more often. It was hard to remember that even when you didn't see her, Cindy was operating in the background in some context that Alex tended to not elaborate on. With her in physical form, there was more of a reminder that she was almost a constant presence in some way. When Alex looked back to Beno, his eyes changed. He was more business when looking at Cindy, but now, when he looked at Beno, his look softened. Just like on the dance floor, she could actually feel the shift in him, as if it were happening to her as well, yet different. She didn't know how she knew it, but it was a real thing. Alex took a small drink to try and hide the fact that he was blushing a little. He figured most people would think it was from the exertion of the dance, but it wasn't...and he was fine with that. == Tag to all ==

Beno was prepared for many things from happening, but nowhere close to what happened. This dance was nothing short of amazing, and this made her weak at the knee. When they made their way to the table Beno needed the support, or she wasn't going to be walking strait.
"Well there was certainly a heat of the moment, I give you that. You didn't have to be an empath to pick up on what you two were laying down out there. I'm not even an organic and it got my pulse going." Cindy handed Beno her drink, continued to smile and added a small wink, "Way to own the room. I have to say, I love your style." She then took a step back and closed with, "Let me know if you two need anything." Beno had more than a faint smile. "I have lived many lifetimes, danced the tango countless times with the same amount of partners. None have ever came close to that, I can live many more and none ever will again." There has been lots of times in this life time that made her smile, this memory would be the bigger one. There was an odd thought that came to Benoes mind. "In a strange way it reminds me of a physics lesson. Place your hand on a hot stove, ten seconds can feel like an eternity. Place yourself in a hot situation like that, and eternity can feel like ten seconds. I have no idea how long we kissed for, nor how long we stood there. For a while it felt like it was just the two of us, only my late husband made me feel this way before." She had a small chuckle. "I should send your sister a thank you gift for those lessons, she must have been an excellent teacher." Beno got up from her chair. "I am going to need to get cleaned up a little, and Alex I like my shade of lipstick on you." She gave a wink before going to the ladies room. ==Tag==

Ordering a Sicilian Sunset before joining her at the table, he was more intrigued by her and the Klingon Empire than anything else. Now that he was with her, Cologero’s attention was completely focused—anything less would be rude.
“Honestly, Italy produced two great empires: the Roman Empire and organized crime. One created marvels as brilliant as they were destructive. Gladiator sports and chariot racing were thrilling to watch but deadly in practice. In the arena, we treated gladiator games like football, until Nero decided mid-match to change the rules. Not long after, we killed him—not for burning half the city, but for tampering with the sport. He was more invested in his music than in ruling as Emperor.” “We also invented opera, performed by the finest singers the world has ever known. That’s why most Earth opera is in Latin, a tradition that began in 1597 when Jacopo Peri composed what is considered the first true opera—long after the empire had fallen.” “We had some of the greatest warriors on land and sea, and even the foundations of modern healthcare began with the Romans. The empire created innovations that shaped the world—some for the better, others disturbingly cruel. Human history is full of finding new ways to kill, some designed purely to torture. Is there something you’d like to elaborate on? I’d love to hear more about the Klingon Empire—the only culture whose opera rivals, and sometimes surpasses, that of Italy.” The Klingon Empire, like the Romans, had a rich culture beyond military might, producing art, governance, honor, and some of the finest opera ever performed. ==Tag==

Alex couldn't stop looking at Beno. She began to describe how she felt about the dance and he smiled wide because he shared her feelings about it. Beno then gave a relativistic physics lesson of sorts, which made him chuckle.
She had brought up how her late husband had been the only one to make her feel like that before, to which he nodded understanding and replied, "I have to agree. My late wife is the only other person I have had such a connection with." Beno then commented about his sister must have been an excellent teacher, causing him to look down as he said softly, "She was." He chuckled again when she mentioned her shade of lipstick on him. While Beno headed to freshen up, Cindy was right there to hold out a handkerchief to him. He blushed again, but not as deeply this time as he wiped the lipstick from himself. Cindy leaned in and asked, "Alex, I know you're attracted to her, but have you thought this through?" He looked at her for a second, then finished trying to wipe off the lipstick. Cindy took the cloth from him and got a spot he had missed at the corner of his mouth as she gave a small sigh, "You know what I'm talking about. I'm not worried about this moment. I'm talking about...you know...everything else." It was his turn to give a small sigh to Cindy and he paused, hands on hips and calmly gathering his thoughts, "One step at a time. I know what you're seeing and you're not wrong. Don't worry, I won't let her try to send a gift to my dead sister, but we're also not going to worry about...well...all that other stuff right now either. Let us have this moment. I feel what I feel and I'll not burden her with such things unless I'm convinced that she feels it too. Sometimes people need to be allowed moments that remind them about love and hope. You might say that hope is what this is all about." Cindy practically whispered, "She still thinks you're just the rich guy who is also a bit of a crazy scientist. She's probably thinking you're just being the playboy type everyone expects you to be. You certainly have a past that reflects it and you like perpetuating that image enough..." Alex held up a hand, "Yes, I know and that part is mostly in the past and is still allowed to propagate on purpose. Beno is different, she sees past that stuff. She's smarter and sees more than you're giving credit for." Cindy's eyes went wider, "Wait...you and her are...are you sure?" Alex shrugged, "I feel what I feel...and if I'm feeling it, then she is too." "Has she said anything?" Alex grinned, "Not yet." Cindy now looked impressed, "Has she even been in a relationship with a Betazoid before...or one of her previous hosts...or...she's joined and I have no information on any of her previous hosts..." Alex chuckled, "Calm down before you blow a relay." Cindy gave him a playful but evil look, because they both knew that was like him calling her a toaster in jest. Alex continued, "That's my point though. You only have so much data and I'm telling you that You need to trust me. Even if this turns out to be a mistake, then you have to let me make that mistake, but this...it...feels right." Cindy nodded to him, "As you wish." Alex's face it up, "Did you hear her before? She knows what that means! Nobody ever remembers that story, but she knows it! There are probably like five people in the entire galaxy that know about that story." Cindy replied, "Well there are your parents, you, me, Reyna and Beno, which make six right there. The other girls that..." It was Alex's turn to give the look and it silenced Cindy for a second before she then continued, "...not important..." There was a moment of silence before Cindy finally said, "I worry for you, Alex. That's all. I know how losing Kristina almost killed you. How can I help." Alex paused before answering, "Continue doing what you do. Let me decide what to tell them and when. With any luck, we'll never need to have the conversation about anything not on this ship. Most people that aren't Ferengi don't care much about money, even the kind we have access to, and the rest...well...I would be very worried if anyone actually wanted to know about the rest." Alex glanced around and said, "Enough about all that. Let me get on with my date." Cindy smiled back at him, "Well, good luck then. She is very pretty. You two would make some really cute kids." Alex turned to say something, but Cindy was already walking away and he had to keep it to himself, biting back what was on his mind as he shook a finger at her as she walked away.

Beno made it to the washroom with Carley close behind, Beno was still in a bit of a daze when Carley walked in. “I have seen this look in you once before my friend, but not this intense.” Carley got in front of Beno starting to fix her makeup.
“I know.” Beno started. “With him I know that the interest has nothing to do with what I can do for him or his career. Or even doesn't see me as just a fling. You are right it's been a while since i felt anything like this." Beno blushed for a second. Carley knew from that answer that there was something there. “He looks just as much into you as you are to him, it’s just there is that talk he should know about.” Beno knew the conversation Carley was getting at. “Both of those involved marriage, I can’t take his family name and if I die before him the next host if there is one can’t be romantically involved with him again. Friendship is fine but nothing more.” Beno knew they were harder on two joined trill than one, but the end result was the same. The end of Velaul because they would not get a new host. Carley smiled as she was doing a complete makeover. “Look both of you are the kind of people who value others around you, it doesn’t matter what their station is. Allow this to bloom and if it isn’t working out just be honest with him, it might hurt but not as much as if you allow it to fester. Who knows it could be something you two can work out.” Carley knew she was right, Beno was an excellent leader but still needed work on the perusal side. After returning her lipstick was freshly done, and eye makeup was done properly so they would stand out more. What she didn’t realize is someone lowered the front of her dress a little, it wasn’t too much but from where it sat it looked like it was originally too high. “Miss me anyone?” She had a playful tone. “Apparently I didn’t know how to really do my makeup, fortunately Carley helped.” She was still a little nervous about it, but not too much. ==Tag==

Alex automatically turned to see Beno coming as soon as she was within line of sight again, as if he knew she was approaching. When he did that, there was a hint of a feeling again. She hadn't had much to drink yet, so it was an odd thing to be feeling right then, but it was consistent. Alex's look was warm and welcoming.
When Beno asked, "Miss me anyone?" Alex smiled and took a step forward to greet her. She then explained about her makeup. Alex replied, "Well, I might need some pointers myself, if I'm going to be wearing more of your makeup again. I have to say that my method might be a bit messy, but I do enjoy trying to get it right." He had placed his jacket on the back of his chair and rolled his sleeves up a bit. Seeing him normally in his uniform, it was easy to forget how solid Alex was. The shirt he was wearing was well tailored to him, but it also looked like it barely contained him. Beno was well practiced at reading body language and she could tell that Alex was doing his best to restrain himself around her now. He still had a hard time taking his eyes off of her and for all of his calm, he was like a coiled spring of potential energy. Every movement was deliberate and done with care. Their dance had made her intimately familiar with the feel of him against her and that he was a gentle giant by choice. He was a contradiction in that he had expressed a strong dislike of violence, yet had fought Borg hand to hand. His eyes held the same heat that she had seen when they were dancing and he was hiding it rather well, at least to the untrained eye. Alex then spoke up, "So, when will we see the Captain? I'm presuming our floor show wasn't the only thing happening tonight."
04-01-2026, 09:43 PM
Beno knew the Captain had official business to attend to—she just wasn’t sure how long it would take. That was one of the burdens of command; they really did put the boredom in board meetings. “I’m not sure how much longer he’ll be. As for the makeup, ask Carley—she did mine.” Taking a step closer to the center of the room, she added, “The dance was for me.”
The lights dimmed slightly, and the sound of an eagle echoed through the room. “This one is for them.” She continued walking toward the middle. “May I have your attention, please?” She paused, letting the room settle. “The success of a mission doesn’t rest on the actions of a single person—or even a select few.” Ten points of light appeared above her. “It takes many moving parts, all coming together as one… to create something truly beautiful.” As she spoke, the lights formed the constellation Aquila. The stars connected with straight lines, glowing brighter before transforming into the shape of a great eagle. “This also warrants recognition of the efforts that kept everything on track. Doctor O’Shea and Mrs. Talion—you saved the life of our diplomat, Jonas. From what I understand, it was an impossible situation. The artwork of grateful children now lines our walls.” She clapped, hoping others would join in. “We also have Khasim, who reminded me of an important lesson—fortune favors the bold. With the help of Thorn, they perfected a process that baffled many. Sometimes, the risk is worth taking when the cause is just—and you believe it can succeed.” She applauded again. “Our Security and Tactical teams worked tirelessly, keeping both ship and crew safe from those who sought to exploit our technology. With Kurasa Mala and Taylor by my side on the away team, I have never felt safer. They showed a level of bravery that helped preserve the peace. And Bishop—your investigation led us to the very root of the assassination attempt.” Another round of applause. “Our Tactical and Science teams worked together to uncover the truth. Without you, all we would have had was speculation and accusation. Coppola, Young, and K’Vada—your combined efforts took us in directions no single mind could have reached alone.” One final applause followed. The eagle soared upward into the night sky, dissolving back into the constellation, each star burning brightly. “As First Officer—and on behalf of our Captain—it brings us great pride to serve alongside so many brave and brilliant individuals. We value each and every one of you. To celebrate, we’ve arranged a selection of special dishes from your home worlds—all carefully prepared, not replicated, for your enjoyment.” The lights returned to normal. There was one more matter to attend to—but that could wait until Daniel arrived. Returning to Alex, she smiled. “I always enjoy that part—giving credit where it’s due. Hopefully he gets here soon… preferably while dinner is still being served." It must be just one of those burdens of Command, a lesson she would one day learn. ==Tag==

Alex chuckled at the suggestion of having Carley do his makeup, looking over to Carley, he asked, "I don't know, what do you think Carley, did her lipstick look good on me? I'm usually not much of a lipstick kind of guy."
It was obviously a bit of sarcasm mixed with the idea that he mostly liked the way it got there. The value in the question was more to test the waters to see how her friend Carley was feeling about Beno swapping lipstick with him on the dance floor. It was fairly common in almost every culture that a person needed to know where they stood in the eyes of the dating partner's friends. It wasn't a solid requirement, but it certainly helped in the long run. Carley was very sharp and good at her job, but this was a personal matter and that could be an entirely different topic. Sometimes you had to keep the personal and professional separated, but this had not exactly been planned out. Alex felt that he was generally a nice guy, but there were always a few who didn't like him. Beno began to prepare to start her official kicking off of the event. Alex gave her a genuinely warm smile when she said the dance was for her, because that was why he did it, but he didn't need to say so. Like a true professional, she began speaking about her crew and how they performed their mission. The crew had earned the praise and Alex was proud of them all as well. When Beno mentioned Cindy, both Alex and Cindy blushed and fought the impulse to laugh when she accidentally said missus Talion. Such a title was typically reserved for the wife or partner of someone. Neither said anything, nor did they make a sound as it might have spoiled the moment. Sometimes you had to let such things roll. Alex joined in with the applause as Beno went through her list of praise for key members. When she had finished and returned to his side, Alex commented honestly, "You're good at it. It's easy to see how much you care about your crew. On a ship this size, it isn't easy. I was FO on the Titania for a few years and it was a big ship as well. I can relate. It's not always an easy job, but it can be very rewarding. Giving recognition is always a high point. You want your people to feel the appreciation you have for what they do, and although not everyone does their job for recognition, it certainly doesn't hurt. I hope that the Captain and those above you have said such things to you as well. What you did on this mission was no small task. Your team was under fire at one point, there was a great deal going on in the shadows, tensions were often high, lives had been lots and more could have been. You saw it through though. You got your people through it. Like I said, you're good at your job. Not everyone could have kept a cool head and talked to the people you did in the way that you did. That kind of conversation, with powerful people in tricky situations, that's the stuff that checks boxes when top brass are looking to promote people." Alex took a sip of his drink and then added, "By the way, if you need a transcript of that conversation, I recorded it. It's also part of the classified logs I tend to submit for the missions, but you could have recorded it yourself and nobody has specifically said that it was privileged information that couldn't be part of a medals package for diplomatic performance...should the Captain wish to submit such a recommendation for his First Officer on such a basis...hypothetically speaking." Alex gave her a rather sassy smile as he finished. He was enjoying this moment with her in a way that he had never been able to with anyone else. He had been deeply in love with his wife, but their relationship had been...complicated. She had not even been from HERE. Technically, she had not been from this WHEN either. They had worked together on the highly classified efforts to get her home, as well as a number of other things, but she had technically been assigned to his department at the time of it all. They had worked together as if born to it and the list of strange and amazing things that happened were unbelievable, but his wife had not really understood the weight he felt with his rank and what came with it. If not for the mission involving the Borg, they would have faced complications because he was her supervisor and outranked her. Kristina had temporarily been assigned to a different department and then her mission...well... When Alex looked at Beno, he felt like they could relate on professional terms as well as personal ones. He might not be able to relate to the joined Trill part, but then again, he had his own uniquely strange baggage as well. He didn't know if anyone could relate to such crazy chains of events and the implications that came with it, but he hoped that she could. He was sure that there were aspects of being joined that she couldn't explain to him either. Maybe he was letting his brain get too ahead of himself. The only thing he knew for sure was that he felt more of an equal with Beno than he had with anyone else so far. Maybe they would never have to talk about it. She had never asked any of the questions that he had expected her to ask, so maybe she didn't want to know. His thoughts were interrupted by a light and playful tap on the back of his head and Cindy's voice saying, "Stop it. You're over thinking things again. I can always tell, when you get that look on your face. You should eat something before you start drinking too much." Cindy looked to Beno and rolled her eyes, "He can be a certifiable genius, yet he can still get stuck in his own head like when he was a kid." She then smiled at Beno as she abruptly changed topic, "Missus Talion! That was good. I'm going to get a lot of mileage out of that one." Alex chuckled and tried to get a word in, "Cindy..." Cindy wouldn't let him though, "Why are you still sitting here talking to me? Go get some food with your date. I know you might have forgotten how the date thing works, but this one involves food, now go." Cindy made an exaggerated shake of her head as she looked at Beno and gave a heavy sigh, "Men..." == Tag to Beno and Carly...as well as anyone else around...lol... ==

Jez then spotted The Chief Engineer of the Aquila, Lieutenant Kalli Thorn. Jez found Kalli to be a bit shy at times, often blending into the background often going unnoticed, which was funny, considering she was a Chief Engineer, after all Engineers often had to bark out orders in noisy environments.
Maybe Kalli works by “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” Thought Jez. Jez liked Kalli because she always seemed to be thinking, analyzing every situation, all the traits of a good officer, especially a Security Officer., but Kalli was an engineer, a builder, she kept things running, Kalli kept life flowing through the ship, When one thinks about it, the Engineer is the most important member of any ship. Jez walked over to Thorn and smiled and said, “Hello Kalli, are you enjoying the festivities?” Jez motioned to the people around the room. Jez truly wasn’t in the mood to celebrate. The weight of her legal issues pressed heavily on her. She wasn’t sure if she made the right choice in fighting Ukinix and the Ninth House. ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada was fascinated by Cologero told her of the Roman Empire it was fascinating to hear how in many ways it paralleled the Klingon Empire, “Oh The Klingons don’t tolerate criminals, depending on the crime, Common outcomes include life imprisonment on Rura Penthe, immediate execution, or the forfeiture of honor, more commonly known as discommendation, which is considered worse than death.” Said K’Vada, her voice filled with an odd mix of pride and uncertainty. When Cologero mentioned Emperor Nero, K’Vada thought of the tyrant Molor. “I see.” She said, “You know Cologero, the Tyrant Molor, was a 9th-century Klingon tyrant who ruled Qo'noS and was eventually slain by Kahless the Unforgettable, becoming a legendary villain representing dishonor and cruelty. Renowned for his brutal, absolute power, he serves as the primary adversary in Klingon mythology, with his defeat marking the birth of modern Klingon honor.” When he mentioned Opera K’Vada smiled; she had heard many human Operas. She found the works of Giacomo Puccini to be incredible; he was the master of emotions. She particularly enjoyed his opera, Tosca: A tense, dramatic thriller set in Rome over 24 hours, featuring a love triangle and political intrigue. “ Tell me Calogero, who do you prefer Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, or Gioachino Rossini. I personally like Puccini. So, Cologero, by chance, have you listened to any Klingon Opera? My favorite is Aktuh and Maylota: the version by Krutak is far superior to that of Var’Ket. Maybe, we can watch it on the Holodeck sometime?” Suggested K’Vada, with a warm smile playing on her lips. == Tag Thorn & Coppola.==

Before Beno started her presentation, Carley was left alone with Cindy and Alex, she had a bit of a smile. It was clear that both her and Cindy were doing the same thing. "Its been a long time since I seen her this happy, I am also aware as her best friend I should be looking out for the best interest of Beno. Honestly I am starting to like you myself, not in that way naturally. The closest to it was friend zoned, and he really worked hard on it."
Adjusting his shirt a little to look a little more presentable. "I can tell that both of you are opening up to each other in ways not done for a while, so I don't need to caution you about this." Carley had a bit of an evil grin before continuing. "I have also taken the liberty of having a photo made." Carley gave a nod to someone near by and the picture was presented, it was a stunning picture of them. "Wow if animals don't strike curious poses from this, the heat is definitely coming out of this." She had an evil grin. "Oh and don't forget we are a package deal, and I might not always be a good influence in a good time. Or I should say never, but its always a good time to be had." Carley allowed him to think about it, but he would probably understand it better later. Skipping to when they both left, and alone with Cindy. "Normally that would be me warning him not to hurt her, but I am equally as concerned about him as her. We are going to have our work cut out for us, both have strong leadership skills but the blind leading the blind in the personal department." She loved that both of them had people working with them, and something might just blossom. ==Tag==

Kalli grinned, "Hey Jez! Wow, that was quite a dance. It makes me wish I could find someone to dance with like that. I've never seen Alex dancing before, but if I didn't know better, I would say those two looked like they were enjoying themselves quite a bit. How about you? Are you managing to stay out of trouble these days? I heard you went down to the surface on the last mission and there was some shooting. Everyone make it back in one piece?"
Aanil was sitting next to Kalli and turned to give her a look, but didn't say anything. Kalli rolled her eyes at Aanil and confessed, "Alright, I might have heard someone got shot, but nobody died on our team, right? That means Security did their job. Good work down there. That place was a weird one." == Tag Mala ==

Cindy smiled as she listened to Carley, especially when they were alone. "I agree. They have much in common, both good and bad. Their careers are parallel on the surface, their ranks and some of their command experience, they've both suffered personal loss, but they say the devil is in the details. They both have baggage and they both have secrets, but I suppose that can be said of everyone to some degree. Alex rarely does thing by half measure. It's in his nature to overthink things at times, but when he allows his heart to become involved, he tends to be all in. I've been with him in one form or another for more than 20 years. We're like family, which is why I use the name Talion, because it's easier that way. I don't think we need to warn either of them not to hurt the other. I think that part will be easy. I suspect it will be other people that we need to worry about."
Cindy paused for a moment and then asked, "Has Beno ever been with a Betazoid? It can be a little unsettling for some people. Alex doesn't look it, but because he tends to make such a strong connection when he opens up emotionally...well...if he forms that kind of bond with her, she won't soon forget it." == Tag Carley ==

Captain Brooks entered the room he hadn't been feeling his usual self and it was worrying him a little. In doing so he felt that everything seemed to be taking longer than it should. What concerned him more was arriving at any event late.
As Beno had taken center stage Brooks stayed off the side and listened while she informed the crew of what was going on. He watched as Beno then made her way over to Talion. Walking over he said, "Sorry I been conspicious in my absents of late." he said trying to smile without giving too much away. "Sometimes things can be so demanding." he added before looking at Beno with his icy blue eyes. "Nice to hear the words you gave the crew Beno I whole heartly agree with you." Placing his hands behind his back he added, "I guess it is my turn to say something." Brooks walked over to the centre of the room he said, "Can I have everyone's attention please." the room fell silent you could hear a pin drop. "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. Commander Velaul pointed this out in her words earlier. Every single member of this crew worked towards this outcome, it wasn't an easy mission. Political situations are the most complicated to ever step into and to work out in a way that fits everyone's vision. We have seen that in the struggles and the good times within the Federation. From the Borg to having unlikely alliances with what use to be our enemies. Many people like yourselves would have sat around table talking to this people but also listening, to help build a better future going forward. I only can hope our courage to step into this situation will bring about a better friendship and hopefully a better future for everyone. It is greatly appreciated and I also would like to say well done to Commander Velaul for leading her away team in a very difficult situation." He waited for a moment, "As Velaul said, please tuck into the food and enjoy the evening you all deserve it." Brooks then walked off back over to Commander Velaul and Talion. ==Tag Commander Velaul and Talion== "

It didn't take Carley too long to come up with an answer. "I can safely say that she has never been with one before, but that wouldn't be the oddest feeling that she has been through. The Zhian'tara is the ultimate in bonding experiences, imagine seeing and hearing everything but all you are is a spectator in your own body. Or from her perspective hearing and seeing me, meanwhile I volunteered to host Siris was the host that was transferred to me. It was quite the experience." Carley looked at the picture again. "From this picture it looks like that ship sailed for the both of them, you know the old song from Earth." Carley had that look on her face stating she caught something. "If you want to know if he loves you so, its in his kiss." Carley knew that she didn't know the musical reference. "I don't think that either of them are going to forget this any time soon, it will be interesting to see how far this goes. I just hope both of them don't allow what they do to cause problems, Beno taught me all about compartmentalization. The act of separating personal from professional life, as long as one doesn't bleed into the other things would be fine." Carley had a burning question that she didn't think another opportunity would present itself. "I am curious to know more about the bonding, does it involve some kind of telepathic imprint on her?" Seeing how Beno had a closed circuit link with Velaul, and only specially trained Trill can communicate with them. ==Tag==

Alex greeted the Captain, "Glad you could make it, sir. You missed seeing your First Officer dazzling the crew with her dancing skills. You'll have to take a look at the holo-vid recording of it, when you get the chance. She was quite impressive. Combined with her diplomatic skills displayed in the mission, I think Commander Velaul will be one to keep our eye on in the future. I sense a rising star." He then shifted topic, "Will you be able to join us all for dinner? There appears to be quite an impressive menu prepared for us."
While Commanders Velaul and Talion were speaking with the Captain, Cindy continued her conversation with Carley, "I've read what little information there is on this rite you speak of. It sounds quite impressive. I understand how strange it must seem for organics to experience this sort of a thing. For me, functioning in a physical form is the unusual part and I find it quite unique." Carley referenced a kiss and Cindy smiled and looked up as she recalled a fond memory, "Yes, I can certainly see how that is a fitting phrase. You can tell a great deal about a person from a kiss. I've had the pleasure of such a moment, though I confess that most of the complex intricacies involved with the majority of cultural mating rituals seems almost impossible to navigate sanely. The psychology and medical science involved is mind boggling. However, it does stand to reason that this is the very element that causes so many to pursue such relationships, sometimes even at great personal cost. The heart wants what the heart wants." Carley then asked about the bonding, which caused Cindy to focus intently on trying to answer, "Well, it is hard to seperate the Telepathic from the empathic at times. The symbiotic relationship of a joined Trill involves a direct neurological connection, where Betazoids have the ability to make such connections without physical touch. It can greatly amplify such efforts, if touch is involved, but is not required. The difference would be that, Alex could not speak directly to the symbiont but as the memories and emotions are also those of Beno, she would be able to share them, if she wished. Remember, Alex would consider it highly offensive for him to attempt a connection that Beno did not invite. However, as they grow closer, they might be able to sense certain thoughts and emotions of each other. It is highly variable and depends greatly on both of them desiring such a thing. A Betazoid can certainly pick up overt thoughts and emotions from a person, but to attempt to intrude in another mind uninvited would be an unthinkable violation. Should they choose to pursue a physical relationship, it is highly likely that such a connection will certainly...um...enhance the experience. but I suspect that would be with Beno and not so much Velaul. I hope that answers you question." == Tag to the CO as well as Beno and Carley ==

When Julia and Surik started to walk back to their table while hoping others would join them there, and on the way back the Captain spoke up where they stopped half way back to the table. They listened to what he said and applauded with everyone else before continuing to walk the rest of the way back to the table. Troy and Surik finally returned back to the table and both animals jumped down from the chairs and back under the table just as soon as the food arrived.
Troy had seen what food was brought to them which was all of the food from Betazed and Vulcan. Julia hadn't had one of the delecies from home which was the Betazed Oysters along with chocolate passion punch, veacot, kaseton bread, Raixen with ave meatballs, swix, uttaberries, and jestral tea. While Surik had gotten Vulcan mocha, Vulcan mollusk, tolik fruit, and shav-rot. Julia hasn't had these types food food since she left home and she remembers that she came from the fifth house of Betazed and her family can afford a lot of the delecies back home on Betazed. ==Tag anyone and all==

Knowing exactly who Kahless was both times around, he was the first of the Emperors of the Empire. He was considered the prime example having Honor, the second time around he was a figure head much like the Monarchy in England. The truth of the matter when it came to Opera, he didn't favor one over the other.
"I actually love all Opera equally it just depends on what I am doing, some of the tone that promotes relaxation while others promote action. Its best enjoyed with the universal translator turned off, much like Klingon I started to learn the language just to enjoy the Opera properly. When it comes to it there are always things that get lost in translation, understanding it." He paused for a second, there was something that he came across that was more than just impressive, even shakes the very foundation of romance. "There are three great nations when it comes to romance, there are the Italians, French and Spanish. All three in comparison don't even come close to to the tail of two Klingon Hearts, becoming powerful enough to destroy the very Gods that created them." Hearing the sound of the Eagle made Cologero pause to hear what she was saying, he loved the fact that she was promoting the efforts of the crew. It was a clear sign that they were not going to promote how great their skills are, giving them a sense of true value. The Captain reinforced this feeling with his speech, if there was any trace of a doubt that he was in the right place. The actions of Command and their speeches just blew it out the air lock, this was the place for him. "I apologize for allowing myself to be distracted, those were beautiful speeches. I would love to join you in listening to Aktuh and Maylota, I would even turn off my translator so I can properly enjoy it." Beno was happy to see Daniel get there, his admirative duties kept him longer than anyone thought. He made it in time for her speech, followed shortly by one of his own. There was a small part of the speech that made her blush, in the last two hours she blushed more than the last five years. Hearing about the Borg made Beno feel her shoulder where the bulkhead went through, that was the battle that got her potential really noticed.
After Daniel returned to them after his speech, Alex started to tell him about the dance. Out of all the times to suddenly feel shy, in ten more life times Velaul would never be able to explain why this was one of them. Also listening to an outside perspective on the negotiations, it really felt like an outside source was guiding her. "Daniel when you see that video you would see a side of me I haven't let out for a while, Alex here was a fábulas dance partner. The kiss was something... lets just say I seen those fireworks." Beno heard about that for a long time, but this was the first time she experienced it for herself. "I would love it if you joined us, you are probably going to hear a few things but it might be best to hear from us first." She had been his First Officer for a while, and this was the most she let her hair down. "I wonder what Keval would think, he is one of two people on the ship that has seen this side." She considered him a close friend, and wondered what his senses would tell him. Carley was satisfied with the answer. "By the sounds of things, I believe if they do proceed with a relationship both will have equal enjoyment." There were things about her friend that she wanted to say, but couldn't. "I had a strange thought... lets pretend for a minute they do get married.. Seeing how you are like a daughter to him, wouldn't that make her your step mother?" It was a bit of a strange question, but too hard to resist asking. ==Tag==

Jez smiled when Kalli grinned and said, "Hey Jez! Wow, that was quite a dance. It makes me wish I could find someone to dance with like that. I've never seen Alex dancing before, but if I didn't know better, I would say those two looked like they were enjoying themselves quite a bit. How about you? Are you managing to stay out of trouble these days? I heard you went down to the surface on the last mission, and there was some shooting. Everyone makes it back in one piece?"
Jez looked over at Commander Talion and Commander Velaul. They did dance very well; in fact, Jez was surprised by how well they danced. Considering how big Commander Talion was, he was very agile, and Commander Velaul was like an elegant swan; she glided across the floor, it was like watching living poetry. “Yes, they seem to make it look easy.” Said Jez. “Yes an assassin tried to kill the Ambassador. Yes, everyone made it back safe and sound.” Said Jez, her voice sounding introspective, “Kalli, can I ask you something?” ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada was impressed with Cologero’s knowledge of Klingon History/ Mythology. Alex was more relaxed than Beno had ever seen him before. The closest he had been to this was when he was in the company of his daughter. In those moments, her attention to detail picked up on subtle changes in his voice. Beno was now aware of a similar but distinct shift in him this evening. He was still confident and aware of his surroundings, but there had been a physical shift in him. She had picked up on it in the dance and there was still a lingering element of it now. To her, it was as clear as if she could almost reach out and touch it in the air. His breathing was more relaxed, the tension surrounding him was less and his focus was more on her than it had ever been.
Not blushing this time, but with a mildly embarrassed grin, Alex confessed, "I think it's fair to say there were fireworks." He then appealed to the CO in another way, "Listen, if you've been slaving over reports and the obligations that come with those pips, you owe it to yourself and your crew to stay fed and hydrated. I therefore point out to you that it is your duty to partake in some food and drink with us before you disappear once again into your dungeon of proverbial paperwork. You also know what they say about all work and no play, but if you still aren't convinced, then I put forth that as the Commanding Officer, your honored attendance would add a much needed boost to crew morale and esprit de corp." He put an arm around Beno as he gestured with a sweeping arm to the dining area with the other, "O Captain, my Captain..." Off to the side, Cindy and Carley were still having their conversation. Cindy smiled and nodded, "Oh, I agree. There should be enjoyment and they both deserve some. They've both been in their trenches for a while and sometimes it helps to remember what it is that you're fighting for." Carley then tried to rationalize Cindy's relationship in the familial flowchart. Cindy chuckled, "Well, in the sense that Alex created me, that sort of makes him my father, but I was originally created by him to try and replace his sister after she died. Naturally that was impossible, but the important thing to take from that is my being created as a sort of sister at the time. I'll spare you the psychoanalysis of it all, but suffice that it would be more appropriate to think of me as being a sister-in-law to Beno, under the hypothetically described scenario." Cindy then added, "When Alex was married, my programming automatically extended to include her as well. For me, she would, by default, be considered family and unless she stated otherwise, I would also assist her and try to anticipate her needs accordingly. Her and I would have some important conversations about that." Cindy hesitated a moment before including, "I don't want to get into the complicated details of it, but if they were to get married, there might be a few adjustments that might be...unexpected. Don't worry though, it would mostly be in a good way and he has a top legal team for such matters. It's more a change of perspective than any form of lifestyle adjustment." Cindy's smile widened again as she then shifted topic slightly, "On the other hand, Alex has a daughter, so how does she feel about kids and a real step daughter...maybe even...kids of her own?" == Tags to Brooks, Velaul, Young and those who might be near. ==

Kalli perked up as Jez replied to her about the mission, but then asked, "Kalli, can I ask you something?”
Kalli had to admit, Jez and her had spoken about a great many things since they had known each other, so for her to ask before firing off a question, that seemed significant. She became more serious and replied, "Certainly. What's on your mind Jez?" == Tag Mala ==

Aanil was trying to follow everything going on around her, but apparently being somewhat introverted made it feel more awkward in this environment.
Seeing Aanil looking a bit out of sorts, Kalli asked, "Is everything alright?" Not wanting to spoil things for the Engineer she simply nodded adding, "Yes I'm fine." Activity in the party meant people were coming and going, which made following everything was quite out of the question; so, she just settled back and observed; hoping that she wasn't looking as out of her comfort zone as she felt.

"Daniel." She said softly. "I have a special meal and drink for you as well." Beno knew that he would join them, not because of the meal. They have always enjoyed these times together, as people and Officers they both had a high amount of respect for each other. "There is one last thing to do, and that could wait until after dinner." Three of the most senior officers at the same table, this was one of those simple times that made Beno very happy to be there, as they went to the table Beno was looking forward to the halibut pasta. Cindy's smile widened again as she then shifted topic slightly, "On the other hand, Alex has a daughter, so how does she feel about kids and a real step daughter...maybe even...kids of her own?" There was a bit of information that Carley didn't have before, well two pieces of information. "The easy part of the question is the fact she would treat his side of the family like her own, she would be there for her in the best way she can. This naturally extends to you too, the only thing she ever wanted for you was to enjoy the same liberties that we do." The second question was a little easier and harder to answer at the same time. "She does want children, she was trying to have one in the past but." Carley's tone of face altered as her voice went lower. "There is also a good chance that she would never be able to carry the child to term, if that did happen I would act as the surrogate. This is information that only the Chief Medical Officer would have access too, so lets keep that to ourselves." There was more to it. "Her father really wants her to have a boy, she is the only one of his children that doesn't have any of her own... How is Alex going to react meeting Jason? She doesn't know he is on the way, he is almost here. Mike had a young son when they got together, she wanted him with her but he wanted to stay on Earth." Carley had been in contact with him for a while in secret, he wanted to surprise Beno and she didn't want to ruin it. ==Tag==

Cindy turned to Carley, great interest in her expression, "Really? I had not noticed in her records about a son by marriage. Well, it is not well known, but Alex's daughter came to being after the death of his wife. He found out about her after she was born. Should Beno require assistance in achieving such a goal, there are facilities available. I will say, in my professional medical opinion, that a surrogate is preferred, for the health and well being of the child. As to how I think Alex will react, I suspect he would be accepting. He has turned out to be a rather good father. Reyna is quite an unusual child, but some of that is our fault, since we were uncertain how much to teach her before having Alex meet her and we had not yet set up normal school systems as part of our infrastructure. Fortunately, we've remedied that now. How old is Beno's son?"

Until just then Carley was un aware that Cindy had that kind of access, nor did it bother her. "His mother had sole custody, and she wasn't a big fan of Star Fleet. His name was redacted from her record, unless something happened to his mother. Fortunately nothing has."
Hearing about the systems in place gave her some comfort. I am glad to hear that there are those systems in place, it would make things easier." How old he was took a second to remember, it had been a few years. "He is about fifteen by now, and he has an interest in Star Fleet. His mother is thrilled." There was mire than a hint of sarcasm. "He can be a handful at times, and now a teen." She just wasn't sure when he was going to arrive. ==Tag==
04-06-2026, 05:52 PM
Cindy nodded as she took in the information, "This sounds contradictory, so there must be something that has changed. A mother with sole custody is allowing a child not yet of age to venture out of her control and into the hands of Star Fleet, who she doesn't approve of. This means she is either prepared to allow him to pursue his desires or she is unable to control him enough and is hoping the realities of Star Fleet might be the answer to either dissuade him or tame him a bit. Since there are obvious public means of him receiving the education he would need for Star Fleet entrance, I'm speculating that it is more the desperation than a softening of her stance."
With a small pause, Cindy then asked, "How does Beno feel about this impending visit? Raising kids can be very complicated. Every child is different. It's also very different when you're personally invested in the outcome. The teen years can be quite volatile and challenging for most parents. Reyna will certainly be a unique challenge when she reaches that age." == Tag Carley ==

By the sounds of things she had a relationship with her Grandmother like he did, those bonds were truly something special. "My Nona took me to see La Traviata, considered to be the greatest of all time." He loved times like that ever since he was little.
"It was a true re creation of what it was like in the eighteenth century experience, one of those things that you have to experience for yourself. Perhaps one day we can both take the other to our best Opera, not to see what one is better because I bet both are equally as amazing." Thinking about the speeches a bit more, he was recalling what was said. "Yes the Captains speech can be interpreted that way, I could be wrong but it would seem that the Captain didn't want to go over ground already covered. It would be like hearing the same thing in another persons voice, she spoke of what the crew did without talking about herself and efforts." As a leader Cologero would do the same, a leader who talks about their greatness was one he would never follow. "The leadership here cares about our well being, not only physical but mental. Yes we were not on the surface, but our services on the Bridge were equally as valued. Speaking of which sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable up there, sometimes when I get focused its hard for me to think of anything else." Much like he was doing now, at this time he was unaware of anything else around him. ==Tag==
04-06-2026, 08:31 PM
She wasn't entirely sure about the differences between raising children between Earth and Betazed, there would always be some common ground as well. "If you think about it with children we have complete control up until a certain point, the minute they make friends on the outside of their home is that time. Yes she is against him joining Star Fleet but its safe to say if she fights him on this, the minute he becomes of age we can safely guess what happens next. Kids always want what they can't have, the more parents fight it the more they want it." Carley wasn't too sure about the desperation part, but it could be true.
"Beno knew this day could happen, she just didn't know when or where she would be. She would be happy to have him here with us, I am sure he has a lot of questions about Star Fleet and his Father. This is one of those times that as a parent she knew that letting go was needed, they learn from us and the mistakes we made growing up then make mistakes of their own." Psychologically if a child is kept from something they truly want to do, the minute the very barrier preventing them from doing it is gone. They will do it, and if they are not prepared for it disaster can soon follow. ==Tag Cindy==
04-06-2026, 11:05 PM
Cindy smiled and gave a short chuckle, "Yes, children are originally very dependent on their parents, but they quickly move into the formative phase. Once they have made it to about when puberty kicks in, there is much less teaching of the fundamentals and a great deal more guiding and trying to nudge them in small ways to keep them on the path you tried to set them on. After the full force of adolescence, you have far less control and sometimes are limited to damage control by then. The process was very academic to me and I lacked understanding when I tried to help Alex navigate that part of his life. It wasn't until much later that I was able to go through my own version of the process and have a better understanding of the massive impact of those years."
Cindy shook her head, "Something that might seem so trivial can actually become a key engram. The classic, first kiss sort of thing. Thus, I do fathom the depth of what our two love birds are wrestling with out there, even if I'm not organic. Mine might have only been a simulation, but that term doesn't give it justice. The simulation was designed to be accurate down to a cellular level. I knew what it was like to come down with a virus, or to have a cut become infected. I knew what it was like to feel hungry or tired. I worried about homework assignments and if I would be bullied in school. It was quite an experience." Cindy's expression turned more serious again, "Kids are a big deal. It could end up that Beno is so busy trying to keep her son on track, she might not feel she has time to be a mother figure to a young girl. The kids might not like each other, causing conflict. There are age differences between the kids and he might become frustrated with an odd little girl getting attention from someone he thought he would have to himself. Then there is Alex and how the boy will react to him. So many factors and unknown variables. On the other hand, our two dancers are both very smart and they work extremely well together. They could turn out to be the ideal mixed family." Cindy then turned to fully face Carley, "I'm glad we got to have this conversation. We're both part of their respective families and they already depend on our friendships with them. I feel better about this entire situation, knowing that you're going to be there as part of it. It is never a bad thing when there are other people who care about the people we care about, because be it by blood or by choice, family makes a difference." == Tag Carley ==

Carley was equally as happy to have this conversation, both of them had an equal amount of support both as an individual and a couple. "I am also glad to have this conversation, I can tell how much you care." Carley didn't have any doubts about that. "People also say many hands lighten the load, and I have a feeling you been a big part of her up bringing."
A taller gentleman walked up from behind her wearing a silver suit. "I remember a time when you were taller than me. I estimate I have five minutes before I am noticed. It took me long enough to get here, but the trip was nice." Cindy would notice he had one blue eye and one green. "Wait how rude of me Jason." He said with a smile. "Wait I am not interrupting your date am I?" Carley had a laugh. "No this isn't a date, but it is a conversation.." Carley gave him a hug and turned back to Cindy. "I guess he got here sooner that I thought. When I said he was on his way here I didn't mean in this room." Carley was happy he was there knowing Beno would be happier, he was also going to get noticed soon. ==Tag==

There was a soft buzzing sound from the pocket of Alex. He removed a small, thin device and is read, [Incoming: Beno's son, Jason, on my pos.] Alex put the device back in his pocket and looked over to where Cindy was and narrowed his eyes a little to try and get a better look. He then asked Beno with a half grin and a raised eyebrow, "You expecting company?" == Tag ==

Jez smiled at Kalli. Jez liked Kalli and felt she would make a good choice. “Kalli, as you may or may not know, I’m pregnant, and I have to choose the right people to be godparents to my baby. I can’t ask my daily, because it would cost them too much in their way of career’s, their political standings. The baby’s father is a horrible man. He is a Telepathic supremacist; he beat me and called me a mongrel because I’m Half Vulcan. He thinks that the Betazoid gene pool is being polluted by Mongrel races like Vulcans, El - Aurians, Napeans, or the Ullians. His House is Powerful and commands a great deal of fear and respect among the Betazoid Noble Houses.” Said Jez.
“I’m looking for people to be godparents to my child, and I was hoping you might consider being a godmother to my baby. No pressure, no pressure, just give it some thought.” Said Jez, ”I hate to put you on the spot. It’s just I have a legal battle ahead of me, and I need everything in place.” Added Jez. “But I’m hoping you will.” Declared, Jez. ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada smiled when Cologero said, "My Nona took me to see La Traviata, considered to be the greatest of all time." K’Vada couldn’t help but smile. She knew that Nona meant grandmother, and K’Vada knew that humans had shorter lifespans than Klingons, but she was curious if Cologero’s Nona was still living, as her father's mother, Katra, dwelled in Shakari. K’Vada’s father, Fer’at, never spoke of his mother. K’Vada tilted her head slightly and then said, I didn’t mind not being on the surface of the planet during the mission, it seemed kind of dull, besides, as a junior Science Officer, I don’t think I will be seeing Away Missions anytime soon Commander Tallion seems to like to go on the missions himself and as far as your behavior on the Bridge, I didn’t notice anything rude or unprofessional, we are supposed to be focused on our jobs on the Bridge. In my opinion, you are an exemplary officer. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were made a Commander in the next three to five years and a Captain in the next eight to ten years.” K’Vada took a sip of her Blood Wine. “Yes, time spent with our grandparents is indeed time well spent.” Said K’Vada. == Tag Thorn & Coppola ==

Kalli's expression changed to a more serious one, "That makes more sense now. You don't look pregnant, but that explains the device you have in your quarters." She held up a hand and continued, "I'll say no more, as that's your private business. As to your question though, I'm not sure how to answer. That's quite a responsibility. I've kept kids alive in desperate times, but that's not the same as raising them."
Kalli thought to herself that if she were Jez, she would simply kill the man she was so afraid of, but then pushed that thought aside. It was only after she had pushed it out of her mind that it struck her that Jez might well have picked up on the thought and it made Kalli blush a little. She tried to cover it up as she continued, "However, if something were to happen to you, I can promise you that I will keep your child safe and do my best to see that it is raised in a safe and strong home." Motherhood itself scared Kalli. She had briefly considered it with her previous relationship, but there was no going back to revisit that now. She inwardly wondered if she might ever find such a relationship again, but it was not something she would dwell on now. "Jez, You might want to consider a married couple to have as your backup plan. I think it would be best if the child had two parents instead of just one. I will not abandon you or your child, but I'm not sure that me alone is the best first choice." She then tried to end it with a half hearted attempt at humor, "I don't even have a boyfriend." == Tag Mala ==

There was a small amount of confusion that Beno felt, perhaps someone from home because of recent events. They could have been there checking on her health, and file their report from there. Looking around the room she seen everyone that was there before with one new person, their back was turned to her so she couldn’t tell until he turned around. “No I am not expecting anyone to be here, but that man looks a lot like. Wait.”
Jason came to her knowing his cover was blown. “Hello Mother it’s been a while.” He knew it drove his mom at home crazy every time he called her that, but he didn’t care. “I am just happy to be here.” Beno never said he had to call her that, but never stopped it either. “Well Alex I would say this is my little man, but there is nothing little about him. I knew this day would come, just didn’t know when.” Beno had no clue he was coming yet. “Jason this is Alex, this is our first date.” Jason extended his hand. “Pleased to meet you. I am going to be honest, my intentions for being here is to spend time with my favourite two people and figure out if this is my future. Or pursuit something else when I am still young enough to make the change, now I think it got a little more interesting. I would definitely like to get to know Cindy a bit more, I can tell she is different than the others but I can’t figure out how.” He believed it was better to be strait with a person, hopefully Alex would give him the same chance Jason was extending to him. ==Tag==

This was a rare moment when Beno got a sample of how Alex and Cindy often worked silently together. Cindy often kept him informed of details he needed to know or listened in on conversations, recording things for later reference or fact checking. Sometimes she assisted with surveillance, or fed him information without him appearing to be distracted by looking it up himself. Cindy could work constantly behind the scene, as she often did, which was simply part of her job as his assistant. Most people had no idea of all of the things she assisted him with on a daily basis.
Alex stood to greet the young man. He was a couple of inches taller than Alex, but Alex had an extremely solid build to him. When they shook hands, Alex made a point not to insult Jason by making the grip too strong. He kept it friendly and firm, to go along with his warm and welcoming expression on his face. "Welcome!" Alex glanced to Beno before returning his eyes to Jason, "Although it is true that this is our official first date, we've been working together for a couple of years. If there's one thing to learn in Star Fleet it's that you should always be prepared for the unexpected." Alex then glanced at Cindy and Chuckled, "Your interest in Cindy is certainly going to introduce you to the unexpected, but I will not dissuade the curiosity of any person of their interest in getting to know anyone on this ship. In fact, as the Chief Science Officer, I will confess that I have a scientific interest in your visit, as well as a personal investment, which is a fancy way of saying that I'm very interested to find out how your visit with us goes. Have you decided what fields interest you most?" == Tag ==

Jason had a few things in mind when it came to his future, two of them were top of his list. Both of them woukd become clear in the next couple of minutes. "Now everything is popping into place, you really do make acute couple." Turning his attention to Daniel. "This must mean you are Captain Daniel Brooks, a man who doesn't use the center chair to command respect from others, a leader from the front who builds people up and their abilities. Who turns mistakes into teachable moments, what can be learned from it to help develop growth as a person and an Officer. People don't respect you out of obligations, they value your respect resulting in them giving it freely." Shifting slightly. "You are a person who varies a certain amount of vanity, but also has an amount of modesty. Who is repulsed by the idea of being treated like a t-bone steak. Desired until acquired then discarded after, you have too much self respect to be used in such a manner. All of you believe that self respect is the heart and foundation of being a good leader. To bring people up affording them the opportunity to develop their own, this truly an environment that helps develop future leaders and their full potential." Jason soon asked for an apple juice. "My two fields I am planning on going into is Theoretical Physics, or Behavioral Analysis. Something I clearly inherited from my Father who was a Security Officer." Even though he did try not to come across as condescending it happens, in this environment it might help him scale it down. ==Tag==

Alex looked on with mild amusement as Jason spoke. In truth, Alex did such things all the time, but tended to keep his analysis to himself. The young man was doing a pretty darned good job with his descriptions, especially given that he only had limited information and external body signals to work with. Alex had the benefit of picking up stray thoughts and emotions from people as well, making such evaluations almost instinctual as a Betazoid. Alex also didn't have the telling eyes of a Betazoid, allowing him to avoid the suspicion most people had of his people.
Alex avoided the minefield of discussing how right or wrong Jason might have been, leaving that to the others. He did comment on the choices mentioned though. "Theoretical Physics is quite a big field. I've dabbled in it a time or two, but it tends to be very consuming. Behavioral Analysis has many uses though. I've used a great deal of the information in my own research over the years. I minored in Xenology and Exopsychology to help me apply it to my programming and medical applications of my work. You've certainly come to the right place to ask your questions though. We have a great ship and crew for you to try and help you get those thoughts in order before you take the big leap." Alex turned to Beno and his smile widened, "You hear that, he thinks we make a cute couple." Then turning back to Jason, "That's enough talk about shop for now though. Tonight you should relax from your journey and enjoy good conversation about family. I'm sure there is much to catch up on." Alex knew there was no dodging the simple fact that date night was likely going to take a back seat to whatever this was now turning into, so he was better to embrace it than fight it. He anticipated that Beno's attention would logically shift to Jason now, at least for the most part. It would do no good for him to be selfish at such a time. You had to roll with these moments as a parent, and they were both parents. He would have to be satisfied knowing that there really was something there between him and Beno. The dance had been a big test and the entire evening had been un unexpected surprise to him anyway. No matter how it went now, he would consider the night a win in his book. He could be patient. It only took him a simple look at her to remind him that she felt worth the wait. == Tag ==

He couldn't help but to look around the room, there was a lot he wanted to explore. There were lots of people he wanted to know, but one he wanted to get to know more. "You are right no more shop talk, I have also done what I wanted here. I introduced myself gave you a glimpse in my mind, my time is about up." He adjusted his suit again. "Now that I am on a furlough from prison, my warden is lightyears away. I am a teenager about to do what we do best, don't wait up. You are right there is a lot to talk about, not here nor now. Enjoy yourselves." He lifted his glass. "Now if you will pardon me I have a pair of science officer to talk to, I have intruded too long." He left to see them again. Coming to Cindy and Carley. "I wonder are there people my age on the ship? I am going to need someone to get into mischief with?" Mischief was always fun with a partner. ==Beno== She blushed hearing they were a cute couple, and had a feeling he wouldn't stay long. "I swear he has the inelegance of both his parents, lets hope we are not a lab accident from having a supervillain." Beno knew he was going to get in to some trouble, or in his words a good time. Fortunately he wasn't going to get into serious trouble, she was young a few times. ==Tag==

Alex raised an eyebrow as Jason made his exit, then turned to Beno and said, "Prison?"
Pulling out his small PADD again, he tapped a few keys on it, then stuck it back in his pocket. "I'm taking a minor precaution. I'll have him monitored by a small stealth drone. Cindy will let me know if he gets into anything serious enough that it requires intervention or assistance. When I was a kid, my parents wanted me to make friends. That's how I ended up with Cindy. We'll see. Cindy will fill me in, if nothing else." He then took a sip of his drink and settled back down to enjoy his meal maybe the rest of his date. He gave Beno a warm smile and was enjoying looking at her in a bit of a different light tonight. Life was certainly full of surprises. == Tag ==

Beno couldn't help to laugh a little, it was an old earth saying children used for centuries. Their home was referred to as prisons, their rooms as cells and parents were the warden.
"I doubt it will come to that, as a child haven't you been grounded to your room? It feels like a prison cell, because you couldn't go out and play with your friends." She thought it was a little funny. "Yeah as a civilian and a minor surveillance isn't out of the question. The com badge he would have to wear would let us know where he is at all times, besides the worst I am worried about it him finding a girl to kiss." Everything was going well with more surprises that she thought, but there was one more surprise to do before the night was done. For the time she was just enjoying her time, something she would never forget. ==Tags==

Alex chuckled, "Well, I was a different kind of kid. I preferred to be left to my room and my hobbies. Being sent to my room was a break from obligations and being around people I didn't like. My sister was the social one. She got me to go out and do things with her. My mother tried to get me to engage in such things, but my sister knew how to talk to me." He shrugged, "Maybe it was a twin thing as well. I was devastated when she died. It took me a while to create the first versions of what would eventually become Cindy. I had lost the part of me that was connected to the outside world. She was daring and bold, not in a heroic way, but in that she wasn't afraid to try new things and meet new people. She sang, danced and never stopped chasing life. She was art and I was science. She would dream up things and I would find ways to make them happen."
Alex wrinkled up his face, "You really thought of your room as a prison cell? Mine was a sanctuary. My private world has always been a safe place where I could escape from the rest of the universe when I needed to. It still is. I'll have to show it to you sometime." To punctuate his last sentence, he added a wink and a devilish grin. == Tag ==

Jez chuckled slightly when Kalli mentioned that she didn’t look pregnant. Yes, she didn’t look pregnant. The decision was made to place the fetus into cryostasis at twelve weeks. The fingers and toes lose webbing, nails are formed, and genitals develop.
Jez was surprised when Kalli mentioned killing Devyn. That thought had crossed her mind more than once, but what would that accomplish? Nothing; it would only feed into Devyn’s telepathic supremacist view of mixed telepathic races as inferior savages. Not to mention that she would end up in prison, and her baby would end up in Devyn’s custody. “Kalli, I can’t find a married couple. Ideally, I want Starfleet officers to be my child’s guardians in case anything should happen to me, because it would be harder for Devyn and the Ninth house to get my child. My research indicated that the Federation often gives Starfleet officers greater leeway in legal matters, due to the fact that they aren’t always near a court. Not to mention that a Star Fleet Officer would raise my child in the tradition of the Federation, where all beginnings are equal and valued, not in the Telepathic Supremacy of some Betazoids.” Said Jez, “Jez was ecstatic when Kalli said, "However, if something were to happen to you, I can promise you that I will keep your child safe and do my best to see that it is raised in a safe and strong home." This made Jez so happy. With Kalli as a godparent, her child will be taught engineering, taught hard work, and determination. Jez felt as if things were going to be alright. Jez knew her legal battle wouldn’t be easy or short. Devyn and his family’s lawyers would go over her background with a fine-tooth comb, investigate everything she ever did in her life, every choice, every decision in an attempt to prove she would be an unfit parent. “Jalli, I really appreciate you taking on this…this... This Challenge, if there is ever anything I can do, just let me know.” Stated Jez. == Tag Thorn.==

Jason nodded his head a little. "Salvation to some, prison to another." It was the one thing he hated about living at home, that and a curfew. "I used to get confined to it a lot when I was younger, saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, or so I am told." He shrugged his shoulders. "At very least I am an extrovert, speaking my mind sometimes gets me in to trouble. That isn't the worst part." He had a sigh. "The problem is the constant scheduling, almost every minute of every day. Angry that I found a way to get kicked out of academic clubs, until I joined the Advanced Applied Kinetic Energy club. Until two seasons later she figured it out." He laughed. "The best Scientific way to explain baseball, figure out how to manipulate that translates into being a good pitcher." Cologero loved the idea about being Commanding Officer in eight years, the journey there was going to be the most interesting. First he had to be a Department Head, something that was meant to give young Officers the responsibility of Commanding others. He switched his drink to Blood wine, he was going to do this one the proper way. "tuq'a'meymaj DlquvmoHjaj.. May we bring honor to our great houses."
It was great that even with all of the cultural differences there were also similarities. Cologero always knew that Klingons valued family lines just as much as he did, something that could be built on. "If you could choose a kind of ship what kind would you choose? For a moment, Alex took the time to soak in the situation. Was he rushing things? There was no denying what he had felt in that kiss. Unlike some of his youth, there was no worry of regret on his mind. The part of him that loved his wife would always love her, but she was gone and had been for years now. He felt no guilt at having feelings for Beno. There was no betrayal here and he was free to have those feelings for Beno. Alex thought to himself that it might be wise for him to take care to be sure he was not rushing her, so he would wait to be certain of her of desires and timing on how they moved forward, but that would reveal itself to him if and when Beno felt ready.
What lingered in his mind and was perhaps the only thing that was tugging at him was that he had said he should show it to her sometime. Should he? It was very likely that she only thought he meant where he grew up on Betazed, or perhaps where they had lived on Earth. Nobody had bothered to ask where he had been between the time he left the Titania and the time he arrived on the Agila. He had not needed to discuss where he had called home during that time and maybe that was a good thing for now. He wasn't sure how truthful he should be about that. That was about home, but what about the other place? The place that technically wasn't anywhere at all. Did he dare to discuss the Simulation? That was perhaps as dangerous or more so than where he had been calling home. His friend Val had understood, but he was gone now. Alex would never forget how Val had come out of the Sim that one night. He understood completely. It was Val that had convinced Alex that he shouldn't show it to people. Val had spent 40 years in there that night and it had changed his entire perspective on life. He had married, had a daughter and she was preparing to enter the Academy. When he had come out, he had a hard time putting into words how hard it was for him to return to his "real" life again. Alex had agreed that he should have pulled him out much sooner, but it had only been a few minutes in real time. He decided to put certain checks and balances in after that, but the question remained, should he ever show it to someone again or not...he was still undecided. These thoughts passed through his mind in the course of a few seconds, while he quietly took a sip of his drink. Alex finally decided that he didn't have to decide such things right this moment. He might never find a need to cross such a bridge and fretting over it right now served on purpose. He was NOT going to ruin this wonderful night worrying about something that might never happen. Glaning to Beno, he couldn't help himself from smiling. She was beautiful. He could hear the voice of his sister in his head telling him to not be a fool. She always scolded him for thinking too much and not living life enough...and she had usually been right.

There was a warm grin on the lovely furred face of the tall elegant female Mirak, as she strode gracefully into the midst of the Aquila's celebration. She was dressed in a flowing dress that stopped just above her knees, and left her arms bare. It allowed a contrast between the ebony of the dress and the golden tones of her fur; assisted by the gleam in her iridescent eyes which swept the room looking for familiar faces.
She knew that she should feel apprehensive, but the opportunity to revisit friendships and collaborations with the officers and crew inspired a lightness in her posture and a mischievousness in her demeanor. Moving with purpose and stealth she passed lightly behind Alex and Beno who had not noticed her; tapping them gently on their right shoulders as she made her way around their left to step in front, to face the CO; greeting him warmly; "It's great to see you Captain; thank you for accepting me back into the crew." She paused very briefly before finishing with a wink for Beno and Alex: "It seems some of whom are getting Much closer." she added as a short giggle escaped her lips. ==Tags==

The Mirak had barely stopped giggling when she sensed someone very close behind her. They were close enough that it almost startled her, but when she spun around, she saw the familiar face of another old friend.
Kalli gave her a devilish grin for having snuck up behind her, but then gave her a warm hug, "I've missed you Jelaya! It looks like we're getting the band back together. Kitkat is on the crew too! Nothing will be able to stop us with this much Girrrl power on the ship." She made a mocking paw-like gesture with her hand as she said it. It was obviously a reference to an old inside joke of theirs. Kalli looked around Jelaya at Alex and Beno and commented, "Did you see these two dancing? If you missed it, I have it recorded on full holo-vid. " She leaned in for emphasis, "I think I almost fainted at the end...that kiss...wow...just...wow..." Jelaya then took a step back and really looked at Kalli, her eyes widening, "Holy...You...you're wearing a dress...a real dress...actually a pretty hot looking dress, in fact...have you hit your head recently? You never wear a dress!" Kalli smiled at her with distinct sass on the side, "I know, right...I've been working on trying to wear short sleeves and such to build up for a leap like this. When the party came along, I just had to see if I could be brave enough and...well...here I am. I don't know how often I'll get the courage to do it, but I think I might actually live through it." She wagged a finger and added, "I do confess that alcohol was a contributing factor. I think I'll be fine unless any seven foot tall Leo Mirak show up. What can I say, apparently I have a type." They both laughed and nodded at that, knowing who her previous boyfriend had been. == Tag to Jelaya, Alex and Beno...as well as anyone and everyone else near... ==

Daniel listened to the advice of the two senior officers and nodded,
"Yes, I will stay for a short while and as for you Commander Velaul, I think you forget that our paths have crossed briefly in the past when we were on shore leave many years ago. It seemed the crew you were with at the time came across.... how shall we say fairly wild?" he said with a small smile. The conversation then turned to others as he was approached by Lieutenant Jelaya Al-Mazi. "It's great to see you Captain; thank you for accepting me back into the crew." She paused very briefly before finishing with a wink for Beno and Alex: "It seems some of whom are getting Much closer." she added as a short giggle escaped her lips. Daniel raised an eyebrow and wondered what he had actually missed in the time he was finishing off his reports. "Nice to have you back Lieutenant. I'm sure you will get up to speed fairly quickly." Brooks then said, "There is a bit of business that needs attending to in regards to a promotion as he spotted Ens Coppola." Taking back to the centre of the room again Brooks said, "Can I have everyones attention for a moment, Mr Coppola, could you please come and join me?" it was more of a command than an ask as he produced a little black box. Opening the box Captain Brooks pulled out a hollow pip. "By the authority vested in me as Captain of this vessel. It is my privilege to recognise your service, your dedication, and your unwavering commitment to this crew. You have consistently demonstrated the qualities we value most - integrity, courage, and the ability to rise to the challenge when it matters most." Brooks then looked around for a moment before coming back to Ensign Coppola. "Therefore, effective immediately... you are hereby promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, with all the rights and privileges it holds." Captain Brooks then fixed the new pip to Coppola's uniform and said, "Congratulations Lieutenant." ==Tag Coppola and everyone else.==
Jez smiled as Lieutenant Al-Mazi approached. She was an Onca Mirak, and they say she was Kalli’s best officer, a truly brilliant engineer, “Evening Lieutenant.” Said Jez. Jez was found on the Mirak as a species; they were honest and direct, something she could appreciate.
All this talk of children and finding the right people was becoming boring; she felt like a pariah. Jez quietly slipped out and made her way to the Holodeck. She decided that she was going to recreate a Concert she had heard about, the Live Aid Concert. Live Aide was a massive, dual-venue benefit concert held on July 13, 1985, to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine. Jez was surprised to learn that the Terrans had a famine; it was clearly a time before the Federation and replicators. The Concert was Organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure. It featured legendary performances from Queen, Led Zeppelin, and U2 across Wembley Stadium (London) and JFK Stadium (Philadelphia). She had read about it and was curious to see it for herself. ==Lieutenant K'vada, Klingon/ Vulcan, Temp Science NRC == K’Vada held up her glass and toasted with Cologero. K’Vada was impressed with Cologero’s Klingon; he spoke with a distinct accent. “I’m impressed, you speak Klingon very well, you have a ta' Hol, accent, which is spoken in veng wa'DIch, the 'First City', and its surrounding areas.” Said K’Vada. “Any chance you have been to Qo'noS? I have never been, but my mother grew up in J’rrnar, a center for Scientific research. Maybe, on our next leave, we could visit Qo'noS together? Inquired K’Vada. K’Vada tilted her head slightly when Cologero said, "If you could choose a kind of ship, what kind would you choose? Should the opportunity present itself?" That wasn’t an easy question, on one hand the Scientists in her would love to Commander a Einstein Class Galactic Science Cruiser, twenty- three decks of pure Science, but the warrior spirit in her thought a Pulsar Class Battleship would be perfect, she had read that the Pulsar class was a formidable ship, with eight torpedo launchers and six phaser arrays, and the ability to carry twenty-five fighters. Well, if I absolutely had to choose, I would want to command an Einstein-class Galactic Science Cruiser.: Said K’Vada, her voice filled with admiration. “What about you? What ship would you want to command?” Countered K’Vada, her voice filled with curiosity. ==Commander Michael Denton Chief of Security( Retired), Temp NRC == Michael arrived at the gathering, and Aquila's computer told him that the Senior Officers were having a reception on the ship's main holodeck. Mike cut an imposing figure; he stood six feet seven inches tall and weighed a solid three hundred and fifty pounds. His long salt and pepper hair was tied back in a ponytail. His steel blue eyes and scar on his right brow made him look menacing to say the least, but in reality, he was a kind, gentle man. Michael was dressed in a medium brown Targ leather jacket and a pair of Nausicaan riding pants. The Nausicaans rode an animal similar to the Terran Horse, but it was more reptilian with a tough scaly hide that, if one didn’t wear the proper attire, one would end up with some nasty cuts. He wore a pair of Terran English leather riding boots; he preferred Terran English leather, because nothing was better than English Leather. Anyone who spends a great deal of time outside knows high-quality English leather boots suitable for outdoor activities or heritage style. Alt-Berg is the primary choice for professional and military-grade performance. At the same time, brands like Crockett & Jones offer premium leather options with technical features. Depending on your specific need (technical climbing, hiking, or heritage workwear), English-made or English-leather options vary significantly. But Mike loved his Crockett & Jones hiking boots. He had a deep Blue tunic, with his eye of Odin around his neck. a gift from his grandmother. He was proud of his Viking Heritage. Mike, a former Star Fleet Security Chief, always scanned a room, looking for possible dangers; it was a habit he couldn’t shake. He normally didn’t use his former Star Fleet title, but in some instances, it opened doors and smoothed things over, helping him avoid difficulties. He spotted Commander Brooks and Commander Velaul standing with Commander Talion, Jez wasn’t kidding. This Commander Velaul was truly impressive. The woman radiated a don’t mess with me, or you will find out the hard way vibe. Mike recalled a Lieutenant Brooks back when he served briefly on USS Copernicus, but that Brooks was a Doctor. Maybe it’s a relative? Then there was Commander Alex Talion, one of the Federation's leading minds in Cybernetics. Michael knew of Talion's reputation because he followed Cybernetics as a personal interest. Michael lost his right eye in a battle and needed an upgrade. He made his way closer; the vibe in the air was that these people truly cared about each other deeply, as if they were family. He reached the senior officers, “Excuse me, sirs, I was hoping you might be able to help me.” Said Mike, his tone a bit somber and reserved. == Tag Coppola, Brooks, Talion, and Velaul. ==

Listening to her answer K'Vada had a lot of good points, then the question came back to him. Cologero knew going into it was a pretty hard question fully expecting it in return. "I think a saber class would be nice, I would want a ship that can pack a real punch, not for offensive purposes but for defensive purposes. I like the idea of rescue missions to go in to a dangerous situation, and extract those we are there to rescue. The purpose wouldn't be to die a hero, but to preserve life." He stopped talking for a minute to listen to what the Captain had to say.
"Can I have everyones attention for a moment, Mr Coppola, could you please come and join me?" it was more of a command than an ask as he produced a little black box. Cologero wasn't expecting to hear his name called for this. "I am sorry but I must go for a second." Opening the box Captain Brooks pulled out a hollow pip. "Therefore, effective immediately... you are hereby promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, with all the rights and privileges it holds." Captain Brooks then fixed the new pip to Coppola's uniform and said, "Congratulations Lieutenant." Cologero felt extremely honored by this, he knew that one day he would get this promotion but sometime more into the future. "Thank you Captain, I will continue to do my best to uphold our principals." There was a part of him picturing his Nono in the audience, he was a great Navy man that Cologero wanted to be like. He had a lot of pride being a Lieutenant, one of many steps to being a Commanding Officer. In the meantime he was going to learn from experiences that come his way, people around him while enjoying every minute of it. There were going to be a lot of down and hardship along the way, to endure these hardships all come with the life he chose. ==Tag==

When the Captain made his announcement, Cindy said to Carley, "Please excuse me for a moment. I'll be right back."
Cindy waited until Cologero was walking back to his seat, where his date awaited him. She then intercepted him, stepping directly in front of him and offering a polite smile. "Let me congratulate you, Lieutenant Coppola. We look forward to seeing more great things from you in the future." Cindy then reached forward and shook his hand, but when she did so, she did more than just shake his hand. In the hand shake, she had palmed a challenge coin. After shaking his hand, she then quickly returned to Carley's side, not lingering to answer any questions. While walking away, he would catch a glimpse of a tattoo, but he was unfamiliar with it. It Had angel wings and the word "Valkyrie". but he couldn't make out the rest. When Cologero looked at the coin, it had on one side, the standard symbol for Star Fleet Search and Rescue, on the other was a version of an old emblem with the wings of an angel and a parachute with the words around it that said, "That Others May Live." A quick search of archives would reveal that it was the motto of an ancient organization formed from a military unit that dropped behind enemy lines to rescue downed pilots. That quote looked like the words he had not been able to quite make out on her tattoo. When Cindy came back to Carley, she gave a nod toward Cologero and said, "He shows promise. He still has much to learn, but I like the cut of his jib." == Tag Cologero and Carley ==

Coppola replied . "Thank you Captain, I will continue to do my best to uphold our principals."
"I certainly hope you will." said Brooks giving him a firm handshake before leading a round of applause, he did have another few things to sort out but he had other plans for them. Heading back over to where Beno was he said, "I don't know about the food but I could do with a drink." “Excuse me, sirs, I was hoping you might be able to help me.” said a voice, it sounded like a voice from the past but Daniel couldn't be sure as he turned to look at where the voice was coming from. The mans face looked like someone he been on a ship before but he couldn't be sure, "I would say it depends on what help might be required. I'm Captain Brooks.... Daniel Brooks and you remind me of someone in my past?" he said questioningly. ==Tag Coppola, Velaul and Mala==

"Yes, I will stay for a short while and as for you Commander Velaul, I think you forget that our paths have crossed briefly in the past when we were on shore leave many years ago. It seemed the crew you were with at the time came across.... how shall we say fairly wild?" he said with a small smile.
Beno knew the bar that he was talking about. "Yes it was in a bar not to much different than here, other than this place wasn't as nice. You gave me sound advice about being a First Officer, I believe that's the time my shoulder healed. Right now it was a good time to be had for everyone, there were people coming out of the wood work. When her son came Beno thought the surprises were over, when another one occurred. Jelaya joined them again, even though she seen the paperwork it was a pleasant surprise. Beno winked back. "This caught us both by surprise, my classic Trill defense came crashing down all around me." The Trill defense was when a Symbiont had more than three hosts, relationships became more of a hassle than they were worth. It was more of a method of allowing people to get close to a point, it was the final barrier that kept people at a little bit of a distance. "You look absolutely beautiful tonight, I love your dress." Kali soon joined in and brought up the dance and Kiss, it was a great time and Beno fully enjoyed it. "I wonder if anyone else is going to do it at some point before the night is done." Thee Promotion of Cologero was an exciting experience, it was one of the best feelings to promote a junior officer. The better feeling is knowing that they are turning into a quality leader, and one day they inspire others to be a good leader as well. She went to Cologero after Cindy. "Congratulations Lieutenant you have made remarkable progress since you have been here, you will wait until I am commanding Officer somewhere before taking my job right." She said with a giggle and a wink, one day when he gained experience who knows how far he will go. "Remember Colgero the best advice I can give right now is never keep a lady waiting, I believe she is waiting for you right now." This was a great night for him, this was something he needed to celebrate. ==Tag== |
