Though LtCdr Qi hadn't communicated a sense of urgency, Ris definitely didn't want to give his Department Head a bad impression. Ris touched the access button, and after the computer rapidly verified his identity, opened to allow him in.
Looks like Ensign Harcourt is on duty.
He quickly stowed the relatively little amount of gear and belongings he had brought with him, then paused to freshen up in the small lavatory.
Time to go meet the boss and get the real learning started.
