Reyna listened intently, trying to take in everything Beno was saying. When nails got mentioned, Reyna looked at her nails and tilted her head, thinking about it for a moment, "I've never really considered having my nails done before. I have seen some people with strange claw things they attach to their fingers, but those not only look dangerous, but I don't know how they can possibly function with those on their fingers. However, I do like my nails to be well trimmed and with your help, I'm curious what color you think would look pretty on me." She blushed a little, "I know dad would probably think I'm being silly, but I like looking pretty sometimes. It might not be practical,and I don't do it to impress others, but on rare occasions, I find it can make me feel better about myself in a small way that only matters to me. I think I would like that very much."
When they were talking with the person in the store, Reyna loved that Beno took over and spoke to them as if she did this every single day. She knew what she wanted and was very confident. Reyna loved that about her and hoped that she could learn to be that confident. When the process was explained, Reyna seemed a bit amused by it, scrunching up her face with a silly smile, "We're going to start with something terrible?" She then giggled and shrugged, "Hey, you're the expert. Bring on the terrible clothes."
Reyna picked one with strange stripes and another with dots on it. There was a dress with multicolored sparkling stones on it that made her laugh, but surprised her with how fancy it looked. Some of the fabrics changed color as you moved and had her fascinated, though made her unsure if she liked that her small features became accentuated by every movement she made. The one that fascinated her was one that gave a doppler effect in subtle color change based on if it was moving toward or away from the observer and it became most obvious with the sleeves when you moved your arms. There was an iridescence to the fabric that was subtle and rather attractive when you weren't moving and then when you moved, there were soft rainbow like color shifts, based on the speed of movement. Reyna was mesmerized by it.
"They have some crazy stuff in here." At first is sounded like an indictment, but then she turned and the blank look became a huge smile, "I love it! This is SO amazing!" one of the ddresses actually looked like it was made of long fur and made Reyna laugh out loud, "It tickles!" There was one with spider images all over it and Reyna just shook her head and said sternly, "Nope...no chance." Yet another that looked like a spider web design and made her look like some kind of spider made her think it actually wasn't too bad. Reyna began to understand what Beno had meant. Sometimes you didn't know what you liked until you tried enough things on. She mostly liked things that were soft and comfortable. She didn't mind if it looked out of the ordinary, but didn't want to look goofy.
When a design accentuated some of Beno's womanly curves, Reyna didn't giggle at all, just said honestly if it was flattering or perhaps too much. She did comment once about hoping she looks as good when she grows up. Mentioning that her mother had been 178 cm and given the height of her dad, she had fair odds of being about the same height when she was done growing, She wasn't sure quite what to expect her proportions to eventually even out at. She admitted that you can never really tell what you'll get with genetics.
