When Beno mentioned time getting away from them, Reyna smiled, "I really like spending time with you like this. I know that it might not be quite the same as if I were a daughter that you gave birth to, but you're the closest thing to a mom that I could ever hope for. From what my dad told me, it is understandable that you and him would form a bond, but he made it sound like I might not ever be able to. I don't know enough about such things yet, but one thing is for certain, for whatever reason, I definitely was able to form a bond with you that...well...as you've experienced, they're hard to put into words. I don't really want to tell dad everything about it either. I don't mean it like a secret, but this feels like something that is just for us to share. We can talk about it with others, but it somehow feels more personal than I've ever felt something to be. This feels more intimate of a connection than anything. The Betazoid weddings stuff makes so much more sense to me now. Once you have shared something so personal, being naked in front of them is nothing. Thank you for being so understanding about all of this stuff. I know it is pretty new to you as well, which just makes you that much more amazing to me."
Reyna then thought about the question of the restaurant and after a moment of concentration replied, "Where to eat... Well, breaking it down statistically makes it relatively easy if you base it on him knowing it is a special day for you and I. I spare you from explaining the math, but I think it is safest to presume that he will have us meet him at The Garden. He knows that I really like their varieties of ravioli and also have a really great butternut squash soup. They are delicious together and they serve a great salad to get you started. Then for dessert, they have a cheesecake that has a graham cracker crust and they drizzle caramel and dark chocolate over it and sprinkle it with crushed pecans." She rolled her eyes and Beno felt a wave of anticipation from Reyna starting to build. "You have got yo try it."
Then Reyna did something unexpected. She held up her hand, making an "L" sign in the air and said softly, "Menu". A holographic display appeared in front of her and she tapped it a couple of times then asked, "Where does my dad have reservations for dinner tonight?"
There was a soft beep and the display read [The Garden] There was also a time displayed next to it that indicated that it was for ten minutes from now.
Reyna dismissed the menu, which dissolved into nothingness. She got a big sassy grin on her face and said playfully, "See, I told you. It also helps that he's a little predictable, if you know him well enough, but that also makes him dependable." She sighed and took Beno's hand again as she said in a wonderfully affectionate way, "I love us."
