[Alexander Talion]

Alex had changed into some comfortable, yet slightly more casual dressy clothing to meet the girls in for dinner. As he was walking up to the restaurant, he spotted a familiar face. The woman was dressed in some comfortable, yet rugged khaki cargo pants that almost hid the fact that she was wearing military jump boots under them. Her dark shirt was mostly covered by a nice leather jacket that was as functional as it was fashionable, even though it was well weathered. The woman looked attractive with her long dark hair down and was perhaps in her mid thirties, but had a look about her that said she was very fit, while the look in her eyes spoke of calm experience.

Alex came to a stop, not sure of what he was seeing, "Sarah?"

She smiled and walked up to him, smiling and gave him a friendly hug, "Hi Alex. I won't take long, but I couldn't be here and not stop to say hello."

For a moment, his expression reflected confusion and he glanced around before understanding dawned on him, "You dropped off Tate."

Sarah gave a single nod, "Well, someone had to help with the run out here and I don't like anyone else flying Valkyrie if I can help it. Skye is on the Spectre, but knew she couldn't make an appearance. She sends her love as well. You're looking good. You're making some important new friends, that's also good."

Alex blushed a little and chuckled, "Nothing gets by you girls, does it."

She chuckled back, "Not if we can help it. I know I only have a few more seconds, but wanted to remind you that we all miss you and worry about you guys. You always know how to find us."

Alex nodded and she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek before walking away without saying more or looking back. He looked up at nothing in particular and let out a slow sigh. For just a moment, he hoped he was doing the right thing, but worried. He thought about Reyna and now Beno and his heart felt like it skipped a beat. That feeling told him all he needed to know for now. Life was crazy and complicated beyond words at times, but it was also sometimes filled with love and joy and you had to never forget how important those things were in life. Everything he did was for love and if at all possible, it always would be.

Alex cleared his thoughts, and realized that he could feel the warmth of Beno and Reyna approaching. Yep, Reyna was a smart girl and had known where to find him. He briefly was unsure if they had seen Sarah walking away or not. They probably had, but that was fine. Beno would likely meet them all sooner or later anyway, but today was not about that. Today was about family.
